Today has been an excellent day.
It is what I call a “Rancho Relaxo” day, a day where I don’t do anything. Well actually I did a few things, but I stayed at home. Just to give you an idea, here is a list:
- I cooked a Thai shrimp dish that turned out ok. I will have to review what types of spices I can include in a Thai dish to make it more flavorful. I think I was missing coriander, ginger, some good chilies and some lemon juice.
- I blogged. Today, I did some blogging. It seems like it has been a while since I took the time to sit down and really write everything down.
- I started the process to get Likemind TPE going.
- I caught up on the last few episodes of 24 that I had not yet seen. Really interesting stuff, because now I can’t wait for the next episode.
- I got all of the documents together for my university application for NTNU for the fall. We just received our package back from the TECO office in Ottawa. Now, all that is left is to bring my application to the admissions office at NTNU.
- I helped my wife plan out where she was going after she taught her university classes.
- I wrote a few 24 reviews and recaps. I like doing that.
- I showed my wife my research on backpacking. I got together a list of gear that is ultralight, less than a few pounds, which includes a tent, a sleeping bag and an alcohol based stove. It’s for next year most probably for a trip to Nepal.
- Made a strawberry smoothie for myself and and the wife.
It looks like we will be going to the National Palace Museum (國立故宮博物院) on Wednesday. That will be cool. Since I don’t really work that day, it will be nice to take a whole day to see what’s up with the museum. It got renovated and just reopened. Iutian has recommended it and David posted about it as well, but there hasn’t really been enough time to go there.I want to go back to Taipei MOCA ((Museum of Contemporary Art; 台北當代藝術館), because David reported that there was a new exhibition there called Second Skin. I was there last December, but I wouldn’t mind going back.
This week I want to make time to go see Longshan Temple (龍山寺) and Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall (國立國父紀念館) to take some pictures. I’ve walked by both places, but without taking the time to take photos.
