Driving In The Rain

I hate driving in the rain.

I no longer get that wet, since I got some decent rain gear, but it just sucks. You can’t drive as fast, traction is really bad and there are a lot of stupid scooter drivers out there.

With a recent scooter, you can almost disregard the rain. I saw a few guys driving like it was dry. But with an older one, there is always something that isn’t completely right. Either it’s the brakes, the tyres or some strange feeling in the motor, like water got into it somehow.

Accidents are everywhere and driving in the rain at night is even worse.

I got my hair cut once again at the same salon I went to last time. I got the same girl and she did the same great job as before. I didn’t remember how long it took. The whole experience was about 90 minutes. I’ll have to ask to get my hair washed after it is cut. Hair just gets everywhere after a hair cut.

I had a Christmas party on the weekend. It was really nice. Carrie did a kick ass job with the turkey and food. It was better than last year, since we had traditional Christmas food.

I watched a few movies over the weekend. I watched War (Jet Li, Jason Statham), I Am Legend (Will Smith), The Invasion (Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig) Straightheadz (Gilian Anderson, Danny Dyer) and a bit of The Brave One (Jodie Foster). I think I’ll write some reviews later in the week.

I liked The Invasion, but it had some weak spots. The whole situation gets resolved too easily. It’s very similar to what happened on X-files. And what is going on with Nicole Kidman? Sure her body looks great, but her face! Wow, she really messed it up with her plastic surgeries. She looks terrible, all collagen pouty and shit. It’s not evident at the first glance, but when you see close-ups of her, it’s really disgusting. She should have gone the Demi Moore way, who looks more natural now that she did 20 years ago. I guess Kidman didn’t want to go all out when it came to plastic surgery. She just wrecked her face. Kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson.

I’ve done some write-ups on Babylon Fields and Eli Stone. Of the two, Eli Stone is better. But they aren’t that good. I wouldn’t recommend it. The USA TV season is coming to a close already and I’m swamped with cool British series. From Cranford to Oliver Twist, British TV is really good.

I’m pondering taking my desktop with me to Quebec. I wonder how much it weighs. It wouldn’t be efficient though. I’m better off taking a few laptops with me instead.
