Giving Notice And Moving On

I’ve given notice at my jobs that I will be leaving in the second week of January last week. Things have started to get awkward. I haven’t really disclosed anything to the staff. I’m letting the boss take care of that.

Merry Christmas And Happy New Year

The writer of this blog in a Santa suit. Be good!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

The coming year will be filled with adventures and changes.

I hope you have a great time with your family!

Driving In The Rain

I hate driving in the rain.

I no longer get that wet, since I got some decent rain gear, but it just sucks. You can’t drive as fast, traction is really bad and there are a lot of stupid scooter drivers out there.

With a recent scooter, you can almost disregard the rain. I saw a few guys driving like it was dry. But with an older one, there is always something that isn’t completely right. Either it’s the brakes, the tyres or some strange feeling in the motor, like water got into it somehow.

Moonlight Sleeping Beauty S01E10 (CBS)

It’s been a while since there has been a vampire show on TV. Angel was just a continuation of Buffy. Blade was an action show. Moonlight is somewhere in between. It’s gritty and romantic, which isn’t appalling. Unlike Angel and Forever Knight, Mick St-John isn’t that old of a vampire, so the flashbacks all take place in the 1950s to 1970s.

The Amazing Race This Is Forever Now S12E07 (CBS)

I’ve read on the wiki site that the next season of the Amazing Race has already been greenlit. With Survivor airing in February, CBS will most likely push for an early March release for the show. This is to make sure that they have something to air because of the WGA strike that is still going on.

There is actually no way for any episodes to be shot and completed before the end of the season. Most likely, shows like Lost and 24 which would air from January onward, will have to be postponed. Actually, Lost has filmed a few episodes. 24 is postponed from what I have read.

Twine Is Absent Use Gmail

There are a lot of people waiting impatiently to become part of the private beta of Twine, one of the first semantic web applications available. I’ve combed the web, but invites are scarce. There is a long waiting list to take part in Twine. From the comments of the people behind the application, Twine is a far from becoming fully functional.

Kid Nation We’ve All Decided To Go Mad S01E13 (CBS)

I’ve changed my mind about Kid Nation. It’s just like some form of summer camp activity with cameras. CBS has noticed it as well, because the ratings aren’t great either. It’s still interesting to see the kids interact.

Soft Shells And Hard Shells

I was able to buy a shell from Milo. It’s just a basic shell, nothing too technical. I bought it second hand, but it still had the tags on it and had never been worn. It’s main fabric is Aquatex 10/10, a Gore-Tex like fabric. I’ve been told that it functions differently from Gore-Tex, but I haven’t seen it yet in action. It’s not the Arc’teryx Alpha SV technical jacket that I want, but it’s a beginning I guess.

Robin Hood Ducking And Diving S02E05 (BBC)

Robin Hood is the new version of the series on BBC. It started successfully last year and is currently in its second season. Jonas Armstrong stars as Lord Robin of Locksley.

The first season was quite entertaining, especially since I was a fan of the series that ran on the BBC in 1980s. I remember that the 1980s series had a mystical element to it. The new series is really good. It’s a welcome change from some of the more dreary TV shows on American television networks.
