I’ve been reading the Book of Revelation recently.
Included in these readings is the Whore of Babylon and The Beast of Revelation. Several things have spurred my interest in these matters. From The Ninth Gate, Mother of Tears, to Southland Tales and Quicksilver. Even watching old reruns of Rome on the History Channel with my roommate have made me curious. I’ve read the Bible, but this was years ago, when I was 13 in secondary school. I went to a Catholic secondary school, which was run by Capucins brothers.
I got a copy of the King James Holy Bible (PDF). It’s fascinating to read about the Apocalypse. I’ve always been interested by the different holy texts that exist. I’m most interested in the significance of Jesus of Nazareth and his impact to the many faiths of Earth.
I was watching Conan the Barbarian last night. As he was crucified to the Tree of Woe, I thought of Jesus Christ.
What must it have been like to live during those times, to see the Crucifixion?

Very little of what the bible says is true. Especially the part about Jesus being born of God. Jesus was born of a female ID. yeah, it’a all math. The God of Earth is Lucifer. The female ID who gave Jesus as a gift to the world was from a place called THE VILLAGE OF MOTHERS. Her name is Hathor. Otherwise named HAT WHORE (crown whore) by men. No hard feelings though.

I’m hindu by birth and not christian or catholic. I’d say that I’m agnostic more than anything else.
I find it strange that you’d dismiss the Bible so easily.
If you believe in Lucifer, Satan, you believe in God… One doesn’t exist without the other.
It is odd how things happen in this day and age…the amazing things all around us…….yet the only thing we can really put our finger on why it happens is faith. Something we cannot prove is true. Sure we have a book that was written and combined by a collection of dudes back in the day thinking of an ideal way of living amongnst all the injustices that we can only imagine happened back then.
Everything about Religion is man made. Dreams hopes, salvation….everything one would need to control the simple uneducated masses of the time. If you are obediant…and lead a good religious life…you will be giving the ultimate life after you are done on this world. In Catholic views it is something like that, in Muslim…i think the reward is ‘X’ amount of virgins await you, i think the ‘Coran’ (SP?) states that, not 100% on that one.
I think it is funny how people put so much faith in a book that still buts women in a subservant role? Did GOD make women to be our slaves and play things? Is that how life is to be? Or did GOD make women to be the master race of all things? Or is it mans ego getting in the way here?
Something started it all……that i have millions of thoughts on but cannot boil it down to one possible answer. Where we apes that learned to walk, shed our hair over the years as the world warmed up? Was there Adam and Eve? If so we are all brothers and sisters. What about garden of Eden? What about dinosaurs? What about the big Bang…Who/what created the chemicals for the big bang to happen? Who/what created the void? Does it have to be someone/something to start it all? What if everything was always here and always will be? Unless we destroy our little heaven. What if we are on Heaven…What if we are the choosen ones..that made it to Narvana and this is Heaven? What if this is Hell? We are all siners and we are paying for eterenity in hell now?
You know who is going to be revered as a matry…Osama bin laden…in a 1000 years they will make up something that will kinda make him like a jesus of christianity…that the devil could not catch…history is a funny thing…it is all about the person telling the tale or facts.
