Heroes was one of the few runaway hits of the last few years. It’s extremely popular and has a large fanbase, transcending the comic book genre on which it is based. The plot revolves around the so-called Heroes trying to save the world from destruction. Their lives become intertwined as they struggle. Some characters are able to travel to the past and into the future, changing the stories as they unfold.

I’ve waited till the end of the semester to catch up on the episodes. I have to say that I am disappointed. The 3rd season isn’t really good. The dialogue sucks and pretty much everything is predictable.

Hiro sees the past. This takes place 18 months ago. The Petrellis are all together. Linderman is there congratulating them. Linderman has Arthur look into Nate’s mind. He sees trouble for Linderman. Arthur has been backing up Linderman since the last 25 years. Arthur has a plan. He will kill his son if he can’t reason with him. Arthur Petrelli is a cold-hearted son of a bitch.
In Memphis, Tennessee, Flint and Meredith Gordon are robbing a store. Noah’s old partner is there and he takes out Flint’s powers and captures Meredith. In NYC, Sylar is pondering suicide. He tries to hang himself. Elle saves him with a lightning bolt. He confesses that he took something from a man at a terrible price. Elle is working Sylar for Noah and Primatech.
Meredith is in custody at Primatech. They want her to become an agent. It’s either that or she spends her life in jail.
Arthur isn’t going to Peter’s nursing school graduation. Arthur wants Nate to hand off the Linderman case to another ADA. Nate wants to bury Linderman. So that’s who organized the accident. Heidi was confined to a wheelchair. Nate flew into the sky. Peter holds his brother back. Nate tells Arthur that it’s time to choose sides. His client or his family. Angela knows that Arthur went after his son. He ordered Nate’s kill. He lies to her.
In Texas, Meredith is being trained. She has to help contain a guy who can armor his hand and knock people around. In Queens, NY, Noah is surveilling Sylar. Elle arrives with pie. Sylar has got of list of people like him. It’s a list of people with powers. He hides the list from Elle. He tells her that he has powers. It’s telekinesis.
Flint got captured. Flint got told that he would become an agent as well. Flint is as dumb as a rock.
What is the purpose of this episode? It just fills the gaps? The gaps that we didn’t know about? It doesn’t make a lot of sense. I can see why the 3rd season of Heroes has gotten mediocre reviews. I have to say that I agree. The stories are worse.
Elle has got the list and shows it to Noah. Noah wants to make Sylar kill again.
Linderman is told that Nate is out for blood. Arthur has a plan for NY and they can’t postpone this. Linderman has a guy from Montreal. Angela overheard their conversation. They were talking about a second attempt on Nate’s life. She pulls a knife. Arthur wants to kill Nate. He brainwashes her and she says what he wants.
Meredith wants to break Flint out. It doesn’t work well. Pharell corners them in a train. She saves Pharell from being killed and allows Flint to escape. Meredith escapes as well.
Angela is cooking. Linderman wants to heal her scars. Arthur has been changing her memories. She chooses to know what Arthur has done to her. Linderman heals her. She knows that Arthur plans on killing Nate.
Pharell has got Meredith in custody. Pharell knows now that Meredith was told that Claire died in a fire. She didn’t. He frees her and lets her go. The train accident is the one where Claire helped out people in the beginning of Heroes.
Elle invited Trevor to meet Sylar. Trevor has also got a power. Trevor can shoot focused kinetic bolts.
Angela has cooked some soup for Arthur. She’s got the Haitian there. Angela poisoned the soup. Nate arrives before the Haitian can get rid of Arthur’s body.
Elle has pushed Sylar far enough. She intervenes and stops Sylar from killing Trevor. But not for long. He starts to dissect him. Noah finds watching this incredible. Sylar actually exposes the brain.
Noah gets into Suresh’s cab.
Angela and Nate are told that Arthur died. The doctor told them this because he was instructed to do so by Arthur who is talking to him via his mind. The poison has caused permanent paralysis.
In the present day, Hire wakes up. He knows that Arthur Petrelli is alive. Hiro and Ando find Usutu beheaded. Arthur is there and he takes Hiro’s powers. He knew that he was dreaming about him.
