2011 Trance X ALUXX frame
For 2011, Giant made a few changes to their Trance X Advanced SL frameset. The top tube is straight, so the frame loses a bit of weight. It’s a bit stiffer and get a slacker heat tube angle.

Other improvements include an OverDrive tapered head tube and MegaDrive, rectangular ultra-oversized, down tube.

This is not a advanced frame. It is a alloy frame. Look at the welds on the head tube top tube down tube junction.
Yep, you’re right. My bad. This is the alloy Trance frame. They made changes to the frameset as well.

I work in a Giant shop and I am eagerly awaiting the new Advanced SL0. I have the 2010 Advanced SL0 and it is amazing. The difference from the 2009 Trance X0 that I had last year is night and day. The new 2011 SL0 is supposed to be lighter than the 2010 and that is amazing as well because a 24.5 pound 5″ travel bike is rare.
I know. There is some MTBing here in Taiwan, but in all honesty, not as much as I’d like, which is why I’m on a road bike most of the time. I know that a few shops organize some off road tours, and I’ll probably take the Trance X on a ride.

From what I have been told, there are some slight changes to the geometry.
