Lockwasher creates these amazing robotic sculptures using objects that he found. I like the BR2D2, which is also called the BeertooD2, made from an old can of Heineken back in 2008. A second model, the BeertooD3 was created last year. Since then, Lockwasher has been busy working on new robots.
We all know the drill. At some point in time, you’ll need to use headphones because your significant other, wife, kids, will be in bed sleeping while you’ll be either working, relaxing, or browsing on your computer. I’ve found that using a decent pair of headphones is actually preferable to most computer speakers, especially if you use nice ones.
Quite a few touches make this beautiful home office stand out from the lot. Maybe it’s the nice use of colors, maybe it’s the computers, or the thoughtful organization that went into putting this home office together, but all in all, there are quite a few good ideas here to make our own home offices look better.

The Glades intertitle
I really liked this show. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, which is one of the reasons why I almost passed it over, after being annoyed and disappointed at Scoundrels and The Gates. The Glades is more of a police procedural drama and I like the fact that the main character, Jim Longworth, is a very smart investigator. His type of character reminds me of a Sherlock Holmes-type detective, who’s smart and intuitive, and able to make educated guesses on what exactly happened.
In retrospect, after having watched three episodes, Longworth is probably too smart for his own good. He tends to rub people the wrong way as well.

Covert Affairs title card
Following the success of Burn Notice, USA is trying another espionage-based series. While I didn’t expect much, I was pleasantly surprised by this show. Granted, Piper Perabo helps, and while she doesn’t look like a 20-year old anymore, she looks young enough to fit the bill for the title character. I find it surprising that a young CIA trainee would be put directly into the field. Also, it’s my understanding that on domestic issues, the FBI runs the show, not the CIA. The CIA has the operational directive of anything out of the US. I am unsure that it’s legal for the CIA to run a domestic operation, but I could be wrong.

Rizzoli & Isles header
I didn’t expect much of this show, but the first episode was intriguing. All in all, it’s a basic police procedural drama, with a woman acting as a lead detective. It’s not something that hasn’t been done before and by no means is it as compelling as The Closer, but it’s not bad. What makes this show worth watching is Sasha Alexander, who plays the Medical Examiner. It’s too bad that they lifter her character right out from Bones. Dr. Isles has got similar traits as Dr. Temperance Brennan played by Emily Deschanel.
