Chuck Versus the Coup d’Etat S04E04 (NBC)

Chuck is an American science-fiction television program created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The series is about an “average computer-whiz-next-door” who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend Bryce Larkin, a rogue CIA agent, which happens to embed the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. This is called the intersect.

From the Wikipedia entry on Chuck.

While Chuck has to deal with his new situation, he gets to enjoy the company of Sarah, working for the CIA, and Casey, working for the DOD. They use him as an asset to accomplish their missions, which surprisingly happen around town (?).

Chuck has just started its third season and it’s still entertaining. The mix between an everyday guy and espionage doesn’t get boring, since the character of Chuck actually puts us in these situations as well. I recommend it, though it’s not for everybody.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Our favorite General from Costa Brava is back with some more action.

Later, Chuck is agonizing over what happened because Sarah hasn’t mentioned anything about the accidental proposal. Morgan is talking with Chuck, trying to make him feel better.

Chuck is all messed up. He’s got no idea what he feels or what to do. Morgan gives him a book to read.

Meanwhile, Capt Awesome is talking to his unborn baby.

The General briefs the team about some guy from the Generalissimo’s staff from Costa Brava. Torrini doesn’t go to the embassy, where Sarah and Chuck are having an awkward conversation, but Ellie and Devon’s place. He tells Devon that Costa Brava needs his help once more.

He’s got a message for them. It’s on DVD. It’s like a PR thing. Ellie wants to go on a baby-moon with Devon. Chuck says that Sarah can go and he can tag along.

Morgan is taking care of Casey. Alex drops by. She drops off some soup and movies. Casey discovers that Morgan and Alex have been talking.

Sarah tries on a few different bikinis. They all look hot. They leave for Costa Brava. During the reception at the palace, the Generalissimo unveils a big statue of Devon for services rendered. It’s quite impressive and he’s posing.

Chuck flashes on some door. There’s a Soviet era weapon’s system under the palace. The Generalissimo’s wife is involved. She’s a communist revolutionary.

Both Chuck and Sarah as well as Devon and Ellie are sneaking away for different reasons. Ellie asks Chuck to do some spy stuff. Sarah and Chuck take out a few soldiers. One their way out, Sarah takes some photos and they escape on the Generalissimo’s plane. The Generalissimo wants to stay with Casey.

Alex texts Morgan. She wants to hang out and watch movies.

Chuck flashes on the photos. He finds out that it’s nuclear. The Generalissimo has got many nukes. Torrini looks strange when the Generalissimo has got one key to activate the missiles. The other key was given to his wife. She’s the woman who has taken over the country.

The General tells Sarah and Chuck that they are leaving for Costa Brava tomorrow. They need to disarm the nukes.

At Casey’s place. Torrini is unmasked by Casey. He pulls a gun. Torrini didn’t come alone. He’s got soldiers with him. The Generalissimo knocks Casey out and he leaves with Torrini.

Casey goes with Sarah and Chuck. They are crawling through some tunnels. Chuck decides to get involved when he hears Hortencia making her speech. The Generalissimo keeps interrupting. When he pulls a gun, Chuck bursts out. Sarah follows.

They are able to let Hortencia put down her weapons with some gooey couple’s talk.

Alex comes to see Morgan. She kisses him while he spouting some self-help nonsense. He then blunders it by not responding correctly but it looks like they work things out.

Chuck flashes on Alexei Volkoff while they are disassembling it. The Generalissimo bought it from this. He says that Frost was Volkoff’s kept woman.

When she thinks that Chuck is sleeping, Sarah tells Chuck that she loves him and if he would have asked her for real, she would have said yes.

Chuck tells Ellie about the search for their mom.
