I went to Taichung on the weekend, here are some of the photos I took. The D200 is feeling old, I can’t wait to get the D800 in a couple of months. Some of the shots turned out nice, others didn’t. Lots of shots of the aggro Russian go-go girls. The ones of Cookie Lai are my favorites.

I dislike Go-go girls. I think that they disrupt the flow of an evening, but they are nice to look at. Whenever they appear on stage at a club, immediately most of the girls will leave the dance floor and they are replaced by men, who try to film, ogle and photograph them. Yesterday @ Show House, it was pretty bad. The girls, who were mostly Russian (someone mentioned that they were basically sex slaves), came right up to you, solicited money or drinks for lap dances, chatting, getting felt up, etc. They were also quite aggressive, which kind of put a damper on the vibe at the place. One of the DJs wasn’t that good either, so it just made it worse.

If I wanted to look at girls in bikinis dancing, I’d go to a strip club. I wasn’t. I was in a nightclub.
