Battlestar Galactica is an Emmy Award winning science fiction television program created by Ronald D. Moore that first aired on October 18, 2004 in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Sky One, and January 14, 2005 in the United States on SCI FI. Repeats of episodes have been shown in the United States on SCI FI, NBC, Bravo, and in high definition on Universal HD.

Battlestar Galactica continues from the 2003 mini-series to chronicle the journey of the last surviving humans from the Twelve Colonies of Kobol after their nuclear annihilation by the Cylons. The survivors are led by President Laura Roslin and Commander William Adama in a ragtag fleet of ships with the Battlestar Galactica, a powerful but old warship, as its command ship. Pursued by Cylons intent on wiping out the remnants of the human race, the survivors travel across the galaxy looking for the fabled and long-lost thirteenth colony: Earth.

It’s been over a year since we had fresh episodes of Battlestar Galactica. It hasn’t helped that because of the WGA strike, we will only be seeing a 8 or 10 episode season this year. The other episodes will air in 2009.

That being said, the end of the last season was spectacular. It was revealed that Colonel Tigh, Sam Anders, the Chief and Tory Foster were four of the five final Cylon models. On top of that, Kara Thrace returned to the fleet with a message from Earth.

I used to think that Thrace was the final Cylon model. I’m no longer sure of this, although her disappearance and reappearance is hard to swallow without thinking about Cylons, I believe that Thrace is the key to Earth. She believes that too. No one else believes this, except Apollo naturally and maybe the Admiral. He’s known her for too long to think that she’s just gone bonkers.

On the Demetrius, Starbuck is finally getting somewhere. Leoben has told her that the hybrid knows the path to Earth. After a few detours, a Six helps Kara figure out the riddle. It turns out that the five lost Cylon models came from Earth. They know how to get back. She says this while Anders is there. Anders is one of the lost models. Six tells Starbuck that the next step is to unbox the Three line of D’Anna. She has seen the last cylon models. She will recognize them.

On the Galactica, Roslin meets a woman who makes her realize that Baltar’s preachings have some meaning. She is partially convinced by an experience that there is some truth to what he has to say. The President looks ill.

This was a good episode. The Cylon faction of Six and Eight have allied with the Colonial Fleet. With this, they might be able to make headway into their conflict with the other Cylons. At last, the Demetrius is heading back to the fleet with a Cylon baseship in tow.

On the Demetrius, they have to restrain Starbuck. Gaeta is about to stop the jump to proceed to the Cylon baseship. Anders shoots Gaita in the foot to stop him. Anders holds everyone at gunpoint and reminds them that Starbuck is in command.

Horrified by the turn of events, Starbuck wants to proceed by herself to the Cylon baseship with Athena, Anders and Leoben. She’s got a 15 hour window to jump back to the Demetrius so that it can make their rendez-vous with Galactica.

The President is briefing Tory. Roslin has lost all of her hair. She needs Tory to be vigilant of anything that crosses her desk. She can’t handle everything because of her declining health.

The raptor is getting ready to leave the Demetrius. Leoben says that God’s plan is about to be revealed. The raptor appears in a graveyard of Cylon baseships. Gaeta doesn’t look too well after being shot by Anders.

Starbuck says that she can hear it. Leoben says that if she does, she is one of them. Starbuck takes the controls. She sees the comet that she has been drawing and seeing in her dreams. The comet is the Cylon baseship. The raptor gets hit by debris.

Starbuck wakes up in the hangar of a baseship. She’s injured.

Athena is in the bay. She gets a visit from the other Eights. They tell her that she is the first to say no. The Sixes have made one mistake after the other. They have to be stopped. They want her to lead a mutiny against the Sixes. Athena tells them that they make her sick. She says that they need to stick to their side and not give up.

Nana Visitor from DS9 plays a sick woman in the Galactica’s sickbay. Her name is Emily Kowalski. Roslin is talking with her. Kowalksi is listening to Gaius Baltar’s broadcasts.

Six is against Starbuck seeing the hybrid. She doesn’t really have a choice. Six wants the Colonials to repair their jump drive. Athena says that it’s possible, but they will have to take the hybrid offline. They all have to work together.

Anders was about to interface with the ship’s system. Six has got a bone to pick with Barolay. She kills her for having killed her on New Caprica. Anders is about to execute Six. Starbuck tries to talk him down. The other Six wants to understand why Six killed Barolay. She couldn’t let it go. The other Six kills Caprica Six. Nat Six says that Six is dead for good. No resurrection ship.

Roslin has another talk with Kowalski. She doesn’t agree with Baltar’s political views but believes in one God. Kowalski voted for Roslin. She had an experience. She was on a ferry crossing a river. On the shore, she saw her family waiting for her.

Starbuck visits the hybrid. She doesn’t understand what the hybrid is saying. Leoben tells her that she has to absorb her words. An Eight tries to disconnect the hybrid and it starts to scream. The centurion shoots the Eight. The hybrid hasn’t stopped screaming. Only when Kara approaches her, the hybrid cups her face.

The dying leader will know the truth of the opera house. The missing three will give you the five who have come from the home of the thirteenth. You are the harbinger of death Kara Thrace, you will lead them all to their deaths.

On the Galactica, Roslin tries explain to Kowalski that the one God is the Cylon God. Kowalski says that it’s the one God, a God for all. It’s the Lords of Kobol which are unconceivable. Roslin relates the story of her mother’s death. Kowalski says that she can’t possibly know what her mother experienced. Roslin is still searching for answers. At that moment, things take a turn for the worse for Kowalski. The Doc tells her that all that they can do is to make Kowalski comfortable. She’s dying.

On the baseship, the Eight is dying. She asks Athena for forgiveness. Athena reaches, but doesn’t give her hand. Anders compassionately stays with Eight.

Six says that the Five have come from the home of the 13^th tribe. The last Five models are the ones that know the way to Earth. The three is a reference to D’Anna and her boxed model line. She knows who the last Five are. The next step is to unbox her line. Anders looks uncomfortable.

Roslin sees herself on a boat with Kowalski. They arrive at the shore where her family is waiting for her. She runs over happily to embrace them. Roslin looks at them. A few moments later, she sees her own family waiting for her. She says that she isn’t ready to leave yet. Roslin awakens and finds that Kowalski has died.

On the Demetrius, the clock has run out and Helo gets ready to jump to meet the Galactica. As Helo is about to jump, a damaged Cylon baseship arrives via a jump. Helo is glad to talk with Athena. She says that the baseship is theirs.

On the Galactica, Roslin goes to talk with the Admiral. She tells him that she shared a dream with Kowalski. Things have changed. The Admiral doesn’t know what to think about that. His thoughts are focused on Lee and his beginning political career and Starbuck. He doesn’t know if he’ll ever see the crew of the Demetrius again. It pains him. Roslin makes him feel better.

I’ve driven over 50K on Old Nancy. Who’s Old Nancy? Our old scooter. She just keeps on trucking. In the past two years, I’ve driven her 9000 km.

My wife hadn’t driven her at all nor had she started the engine periodically. This meant that she needed a check-up. I dropped her off at my mechanic’s shop, which was closed on Sunday and picked her up again on Monday morning. Total bill? 150NT (~5$). My mechanic told me that the engine needed to be changed soon. It will cost about 2800NT (~92$). I’ll do that soon. Otherwise, I think I might buy some new shocks. She’ll corner better.

I’ve driven her extremely fast over the last two days, yet it felt safe. I didn’t take any risks and just rode as fast as possible. She can still go up to 95kph.

One thing that I have learned thanks to becoming a student again, is to distance myself from materialistic ideals. I no longer yearn for the 750cc motorcycle. I know that I’ll probably get a cheap one next year, one that won’t have the right plates to drive on the highway, yet it’s not really a focus for me anymore.

Sure, I’ll continue doing maintenance on Old Nancy, but I doubt that we will sell her before leaving Taiwan.

Zipping along at 80kph on Taipei’s major arteries is exhilarating. It’s like a game of Tetris mixed in with a game of Need for Speed. I tend to stay away from the right side of the roads since slower scooters, veering buses and taxis make a habit of disrupting the flow of traffic. The fast lane is where all of the fun is.

I’ve noticed that there are more scooters in Canada. I have seen a lot more scooters recently than before. They are no longer a novelty, but a means of transport.

Saxon is the first officially evicted HM, with a proper eviction night. He is the holder of the second HM handgrenade and his target is Brigitte.

The HM in the danger zone are Alice, Ben, Dixie, Nate and Renee. They are today’s bottom five.

The house is recovering from their first eviction. Saxon is gone, but he has a parting shot for his least favorite HM. Saxon tells Brigitte that she needs to read more books. Everything isn’t just about her. He isn’t happy the way that Bianca made him look in the house. She talked behind his back. He tells Dixie to stop stealing food. He tells Terri to stick it out, even though people are giving her a hard time. He has good things to say about Travis, the Nobster and Rory.

He tells David that he needs to change and stop being too nice with everyone. When something bugs him, he needs to address it. He hasn’t got the final word on everything. He thinks that Becca is the most genuine person in the house.

He thinks about giving the hand grenade to Bianca, Brigitte and Dixie. The person he names will have all of their possessions removed from the house indefinitely. He chooses Brigitte. Brigitte starts to hit the plasma screen. She starts to cry. Yeah! That’s great. Brigitte doesn’t know what indefinitely means. Travis has to explain. It’s pretty funny. Some of the HM are very happy. Renee, Rory and Dixie all have big smiles.

What am I supposed to wear for underwear, paper bags?

Terri thinks that Brigitte is a spoiled child.

David and the Nobster are talking about Saxon’s comments. He thinks that Saxon is very young and that he doesn’t know everything. He isn’t about to confront Bianca about being so opinionated. It’s not his style. Dave told Saxon that he was being ludicrous when he was talking about aliens.

Brigitte wants to go into the diary room. She’s been waiting for a few minutes before the doors open. She starts to cry. Whatever! As if crying will make BB change his mind. BB tells her off before pushing the diary room button too many times. She says that she wants to leave. BB suggests asking the other HM for some clothing and toiletries. She continues to cry. She lies down on the diary room chair. It’s pathetic.

The Nobster and Corey can’t believe how upset Brigitte is about losing her clothes. Rory thinks that it would have been funny if Terri would have lost her clothes.

Ben talks to Dixie because he caught her gossiping. She thought that he was talking about her behind her back. He was just explaining things to the Nobster. Dixie says that she doesn’t trust Ben as far as she can throw him. Ben finds it funny. She’s just a fat bitch. I’d be talking behind her back too if I saw her stealing food.

BB tells Brigitte that she should rest and talk to BB in the morning. She replies that she wants her mom. The Nobster was laughing about the hand grenade. Knobby finds it sad. Bianca doesn’t think that she will leave over that. Brigitte tells Becca that she is leaving for home in the morning.

Rory, David, Alice and Renee are called to the diary room. They receive tickets on the Big Brother Airlines. BB tells them that they are all leaving the country. BB tells them that they have been chosen randomly to fly away. He tells them to pack up all of their stuff.

The Nobster tries to make Brigitte feel better, but she’s not having it.

Rory, Dave, Alice and Renee leave through the cloud door. They step into the plane. They are “flying” to Bali, which will take them 6 hours.

At 2:14AM, Brigitte goes to see BB. She’s been given some bare essentials. BB wants her to rest and talk to him in the morning. She says that she’s too upset to sleep. She says that she won’t eat until she gets her stuff back. BB tells her that a hunger strike isn’t the way to deal with this.

The BB Airline flight has been in flight for 2 hours. The HM get some proper airline food and some beer.

Alice tells the other HM on the flight that she wants to win BB to get even bigger boobs. She’s already got fake tits. She wants bigger ones.

The HM are sleeping on the floor of the airline. BB tells the HM to return to their seats.

Brigitte is in the garden. The other HM are having a Kombi party.

All of the HM are sleeping when BB puts the lights back on at 8AM. BB plays a recording of a rooster to wake them up. Terri finds some cricket uniforms waiting for her in the living area.

The flying HM are landing. They are in Bali on the Gold Coast. They like their holiday resort. They love having hot water.

I’m not getting up at 8AM in the morning to play f*cking cricket.
Dixie

Since the HM have gotten up, BB plays another alarm. He calls all HM to the lounge.

Bianca thinks that cricket is gay. All of the HM are still sleepy. They have to post HM outside on the cricket pitch. They have to field the pitch 24/7.

Brigitte still wants to go home. Terri thinks that she is ridiculous. They miss the first ball. Ben almost gets the second ball. Ben catches the ball.

Alice, Renee and Dave go to bed while Rory tries out the hot tub. David can hear the HM screaming. Ben just caught a ball.

She is just quite openly stupid. It’s quite endearing, just like the family dog.

The panel thinks that Bianca should lighten up. There is some talk about how Corey is looking better and that they are glad to see the real Corey. They have a talk with Saxon, who knew that he was going out. He’s been wanting to change. They show excerpts where he admits that he almost got some neo Nazi tattoos on this chest.

Survivor Micronesia Stir The Pot S16E14-15 (CBS)

This season of Survivor has finally wrapped up. As always, Survivor is very entertaining. I thought that when the boys got voted out that it would get less entertaining, but it didn’t.

The big surprise was that it was only a final two, not a final three. After the survivors were down to only three, it was predictable who would be in the final two.

Instead of focusing on her accomplishments of the last few months, Amanda focused on being nice. She needed to assert herself more and tell the jury what she had done in order to win. She didn’t.

By far the biggest moves in this season were the blindsides. Ozzy, Jason, Alexis, Erik and even some of the earlier ones got blindsided. The fans should have known that something like that would happen. Just like Cirie said, the fans were younger and less experienced. They wouldn’t have been able to pull the wool over the eyes of more experienced players.

This was a good season of Survivor. It’s been touted as one of the best ever. I still think that Survivor All Stars was the best season of Survivor.

After Erik’s bonehead maneuver of the last episode, the girls are jubilant. The girls find it hilarious that one after the other, the guys walked into the same trap.

Parv is happy that the guys are gone. She’s happy to be just with the girls. She hasn’t missed them.

Nat thinks of Parv as an ally.

It’s time for the next immunity challenge. They have to get some keys to unlock some ladder rungs. Once it’s assembled, they drop their flag. To get the keys, they have to pour water into a bamboo shoot whilst standing on a pole high in the air.

Nat and Parv are doing well. Parv is the first to get her keys. Nat is closely behind. Amanda is in third position. She is followed by Cirie.

Nat is extending her lead over Parv. The ladder is going to take a while to assemble. The ladder rungs are unique. They only fit in one position. Amanda has caught up. She is in the lead. She has a huge lead. However, she can’t get the last one in. She has to swap rungs. She’s the first one up. Amanda wins immunity.

Nat feels like the odd woman out. Cirie is nervous.

Amanda thinks that Cirie should go. She likes Nat better in the final three. She deserves to be here. Parv thinks that Nat is the lesser threat when it comes to jury votes.

It’s time for tribal council. Nat makes a smile and gives a thumbs up to Erik. Nat isn’t making much sense. Amanda is safe. Cirie says that she’s always been at the bottom of her alliance. If the game is heading to a final two, she will still be at the bottom three. She’s been at the bottom of the alliance since the merge.

By a vote of 3-1, Nat is voted out.

Back at camp, Amanda and Cirie start to argue about what Cirie said at tribal. Amanda is just an idiot. Of course Cirie is at the bottom. Why she wants to change Cirie’s mind is beyond me. They all make up and snuggle. Amanda is crying.

They decide to set the chicken free. Gloria doesn’t want to leave camp. She’s become their pet.

The girls are surprised that they are heading to a final immunity challenge. It’s going to be a final two, not a final three.

They remember the other survivors and set fire to the hut at Exile Island. Then they go to their final immunity challenge. Jeff is waiting for them.

The final challenge involves balancing a metal ball on a segmented wooden cylinder. Parv is the first one out. Amanda wins the final immunity. She’s guaranteed a spot in the final.

Cirie was sure that she would win, because she is a nurse. Amanda was in the zone. Parv thinks that she’s going into the final two. Amanda isn’t sure yet. Parv wants to practice their opening statements. Amanda says that it puts her in an awkward position.

Cirie has pissed off a lot of people. However, Amanda thinks that she can convince people easily. She says that it’s kind of a Catch 22.

It’s time for tribal council. Amanda starts to cry. Nat is laughing. Alexis exchanges a smile with her. Eliza is just annoyed. Amanda votes out Cirie.

Parv and Amanda are going to the final two.

Amanda and Parv get a feast to celebrate. They set fire to the shelter.

It’s time for the final tribal council. It’s time for opening statements.

Amanda just wants to thank them. “Thanks for helping me to get here.”

During Parv’s statement, James looks annoyed. “Ask me anything you want, and you’ll get an honest answer.”

Eliza is first to question the finalists. She doesn’t respect what Parv did for strategic advancement. She thinks that Parv is just a mean person. Eliza says that listening to Amanda talk makes her want to kill herself. Eliza’s vote is up in the air.

Jason asks Amanda if she would have told Ozzy about the plan to evict him. She says yes. He wants to know what Parv’s redeeming qualities are. Loyalty is one of her qualities. She also mentions protectiveness.

Alexis has a question for Parv. She wants to know what would make Parv a role model over Amanda. Parv says that she is more outspoken. Alexis says that she has seen so many Oscar winning performances. All of the jurors have been laughing about them.

Nat wants to talk about the flirt card. Nat says that she flirted with her on several occasions. How does being a flirt impact her personal life? She will flirt with anyone to get her way.

Nat wants to know about Amanda’s glazed look. She wants to know if there more to Amanda than that.

A few days ago, he would have voted for Amanda. However, as of late, he isn’t sure about his vote. He wants to know why she ripped him to shreds. She doesn’t have a good defense.

She tells James that there was no chance for her to win the game if she stuck with him. He doesn’t buy it.

Cirie wants to know why Parv deserves to win more than Cirie. She says that Parv made bolder moves than Cirie. She wants to know why Cirie would be sitting in the finals. Parv says that she’s got a family. Parv hasn’t got that.

Ozzy starts out to say that he’s the biggest idiot in the game. He says that Parv just threw him under the bus. He doesn’t want to talk to her. He was really hurt. She took away 14 days that he could have spent with Amanda. He tells Amanda that he wasn’t faking his feelings for her. He says that he was starting to fall in love with her. Amanda gives Ozzy a big smile. She thanks him.

Reunion and Sole Survivor

Parv wins Survivor. The jury thought that she deserved it over Amanda. I think that Amanda’s crying and glazed looks just weren’t enough for her to win Survivor. The doe eyed looks didn’t win her any favors. In the end, Parv did make the better plays. She got rid of Ozzy when he wasn’t expecting it. She allied herself with the girls in order to get the boys out.

Nat has some haters. Jeff asks Ozzy about using the idol. He thought about using it, but since it was Parv he trusted her. He’s forgiven her and he’s over.

It’s just a bleeping stick.

Erik got a life lesson. He says that certain morals came into play, he couldn’t play that way. James thanks Erik for making the dumbest move ever. James’ dad is enjoying the attention.

Jeff asks Ozzy about the love affair. Amanda says that they are still together. Mary and Ryan are together as well. I don’t even remember Mary.

The top three vote getters for the extra money are Amanda, Ozzy and James. One of them will receive $100K. The winner is James. This is the second time for James.

The next season of Survivor is heading to Africa, Gabon.

There are many different paper sizes in the world. Currently, the most widespread are the international standard ones, all of the A derivatives, and the North American ones.

The international standard is based on the German one. The base format is 1m² which is called A0. All other sizes are subdivisions of A0. They are formed by halving A0 parallel on its shorter side.

The international standard is almost universal, except in the US and Canada. Although Mexico, Colombia, Chile and the Philippines have adopted the international standard, the US letter format is still commonly used.

Each sheet of A4 weighs 5 grams, if the A0 weighs 80grams per square meter.

Big Brother Australia S08D014 Eviction (Channel Ten)

The HM are all in the eviction room. It’s time for the first eviction.

Jackie and Kyle think that Corey is fitting in very nicely. It’s good to see the real Corey.

They go live to the eviction room. It’s obvious that Corey and Bianca have a love/hate relationship. Bianca says that it’s more hate. The Nobster says that he’s forgiven Terri.

The official bottom three are David, Rebecca and Saxon. Terri, Nathan and Corey are immune from eviction this week. BB says that one of the nominees is about to be thrown a lifeline.

It’s time for Travis to save one of the nominees. He saves Rebecca. This means that Rory is nominated instead. Knobby can’t believe this.

Big Brother Australia S08D014 (Channel Ten)

After FNL, the strategy opens for Travis and Renee. In this room, HM can openly discuss nominations and tactics. They also receive some pizza. The HM don’t know this initially, but what happens in the strategy room is broadcasted to the rest of the BBAU house. However, this transmission doesn’t have any sound.

Travis is called to the diary room. He is told who the bottom 3 HM are. They are Dixie, Rebecca and Saxon. He can discuss this with Renee, but only Renee.

Rory wonders who will be very nice to Travis this week. Travis goes to tell Renee. Renee is happy that she isn’t nominated. Travis thinks that he wants to save Becca.

Dixie is surprised that Travis and Renee are close. She’s just jealous because of the food situation in the strategy room.

Renee says that she’s not picking for him. They both don’t like Dixie.

Bianca and Brigitte are nervous. They feel that they are extremes. They are worried about being nominated. Corey says that he wouldn’t vote for Brigitte.

Terri says that she would be ashamed if Corey would be her son. Travis doesn’t like that. The Nobster is in Locker Room Lockdown. Corey tells Terri to shut up.

Rebecca goes to see the guys in the Locker Room. She doesn’t like Terri anymore. Bianca joins them.

Travis and Terri are talking about this in the dinning room by themselves. Travis thinks that she is being rude.

David thinks that it’s a disgraceful thing to say. Rebecca thinks that Terri isn’t nice. Terri is upset that Corey is turning her into the baddy-baddy and he’s looking like the goody-goody. These are her words. Nate joins them.

Terri talks to Doc Alice. Doc Alice tells Terri that it was a terrible thing to say. She thinks that it’s a very harsh thing to say. Terri doesn’t give a shit. Doc Alice says that it was horrible.

Rebecca wants to be nominated. She wants to leave the BBAU house again. She goes to see BB. She says that she really wants to go home.

The Nobster, Ben, David, Corey are talking about Becca. They want her to stay. They wouldn’t mind another girl leaving, but she’s a genuine person.

Travis and Becca are talking. Travis says that other people are feeling like this. She’s the only one that expresses it this way. When she says that she wants to go, it’s just that there are things that are making her upset.

The Nobster gets a call from BB. He’s chosen Knobby as the mother of the day. The HM will spend the day pampering him. He’s got to dress the part with a dress and a wig.

The HM are happy that Knobby can participate. Terri and Bianca are given the ingredients for French toast, only for the Nobster. The HM think that the Nobster deserves it. He’s suffered enough. Knobby tells Travis that he needs to wash him down later in the shower.

Ben and The Nobster talk about the stress of being evicted. Knobby isn’t worrying too much. Ben is worried.

Terri says that she’s a tough mother, but nearly as tough as her own mother. She says that she meant what she said to Corey.

Saxon, Ben and Rory are talking about Dave. They both dislike him. They think that he’s fake. They recon that he’s playing the game. They see Nate as being a game player as well.

HM are struggling on staples. All HM except the Nobster are called to the living room. The HM have passed the weekly task. They go to the diary room to collect the food that they have won.

Brigitte accuses Ben of stealing her seat. Ben goes to complain to Renee in the kitchen. Renee thinks that Brigitte is the opposite of herself.

In the garden, Dave and Saxon are talking about religion and aliens.

Renee and Ben continue talking about Brigitte.

Saxon is talking with Dave. He gets angry when Terri jokes about his beliefs. She denies it. He tells her to keep out of the discussion.

Corey and Rebecca are talking about attraction. He finds her attractive, more than Brigitte since Brigitte is ditzy. Rebecca has got the personality and more.

Saxon goes to see BB in the diary room. He’s agitated. He’s frustrated that he had an argument with Dave. He was rude to Terri because she decided to butt in. Saxon says that it was unacceptable. It doesn’t really matter, because he thinks that he’s going to be evicted.

Meanwhile Terri is talking about this with some of the girls.

Later, Saxon talks with Terri. He apologizes to her. That was nice of him.

A bit later on, Corey and Bianca get into an argument. Bianca is a sanctimonious bitch. She’s judgmental as well. Corey isn’t blameless either. He just eggs her own. Terri calls Corey a dipstick.

Corey goes outside and talks with the guys. They think that Bianca will be a total nazi when she’s 30.

Lost is a United States serial drama television series that follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a passenger jet flying between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, United States crashes somewhere in the South Pacific. Each episode typically features a primary storyline on the island as well as a secondary storyline from another point in a character’s life. The show was created by Damon Lindelof, J. J. Abrams and Jeffrey Lieber, and is filmed primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii. The pilot episode was first broadcast on September 22, 2004. Since then, three seasons have aired. The show is produced by ABC Studios, Bad Robot Productions and Grass Skirt Productions and airs on the ABC Network in the United States. Its incidental music is composed by Michael Giacchino. The current executive producers are Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse. Because of its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming in Hawaii, the series is one of the most expensive on television.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

This is Locke’s story. Locke’s past is intertwined with the island. He doesn’t really know this, but people that are involved in the island’s affairs are involved in his own past. The second storyline of this episode involves Locke’s travel to Jacob’s cabin. Another storyline involves what happens to Sayid and Desmond on the Kahana.

Abbadon and Alpert are both involved with John’s past. I don’t know if Alpert just didn’t age, but he looks exactly the same when he recruited Juliet, almost 50 years later. At least, that’s my reckoning. They try and point Locke towards his destiny.

Hurley, Locke and Ben manage to find the cabin. Locke is the only one willing to enter and finds a creepy Claire and her dad Christian Sheppard waiting for them. Sheppard is speaking for Jacob, but isn’t Jacob. They tell John that the island has to be moved.

On the Kahana, Micheal is revealed as a spy. Keamy is out of control and shoots a few people before heading back out to the island to kill everyone on it. Desmond can’t go back to the island while Penny is coming to find him. Sayid takes a zodiac back.

This was an interesting episode. When Claire and Christian Sheppard were found in the cabin, it was creepy. It reminds me of Twin Peaks by David Lynch. The cabin feels like the lodge concept in that series. I wasn’t sure if Claire would be seen again. I guess that we have that answer. There were no flashforwards in this episode.

Since Alpert seems ageless, it’s logical to think that he has some form of immortality. I believe that since the island is somehow involved in time travel, that Alpert actually is mortal. He just appeared in the past and then appeared in the present. Time didn’t pass for him, but it did for the rest of the world. That is the power of the island, which is why Faraday is here conducting relative time experiments.

Dr. Richard Alpert is Ben’s advisor who seems not to age. He witnesses the early birth of John Locke in the 1950s. Five years later, Alpert asks Locke to identify which of several objects rightfully belonged to Locke; Locke chooses a knife and Alpert leaves in disappointment. When Locke is in high school, Alpert attempts to recruit Locke to Mittelos Bioscience, a front company used by the Others. Decades later, in the 1980s, Richard conspires with Ben to slaughter the Dharma Initiative. In the 2000s, Richard recruits Juliet for Mittelos Bioscience. Once Locke arrives on the Island, Alpert helps Locke to recruit Sawyer to murder Locke’s father. Richard prefers not to take a position of power, but disputes several of Ben’s decisions. The show opens up with a girl putting on a record. It looks like something out of the fifties. She’s getting ready to go out. Her name is Emily. Her mother walks in and doesn’t want her to go out with her boyfriend. She says that she can’t stop her, she loves him. Emily gets in an accident and she is driven over by a car.

Emily tells the nurse that she is six months pregnant. She gives birth to a boy. They take him away. Emily says that his name is John.

Locke is walking in the jungle with Ben and Hurley. They are looking for Jacob’s cabin. They are walking aimlessly. Locke decides to make camp.

Desmond is on the Kahana. Sayid wakes him up when he hears the helicopter arrive. The mercs arrive back on the boat. Keamy pulls a gun on the captain. They know that they have a spy onboard. The finger is pointed at Kevin Johnson. Micheal is tortured a bit and admits to giving Ben Keamy’s name. Keamy tries to shoot him, but it doesn’t work. The captain stops him and says that Johnson is the one who broke the engines. He’s the only one who can fix them.

Locke’s party hear someone felling a tree. It’s someone from the Dharma Initiative. His name is Horace. He’s building a little getaway from him and the missus. He says that he’s been dead for twelve years. He says that he needs to find him. When he does, he’ll find Jacob. The scene plays over and over again, just like a recording. He’s building a cabin. Locke wakes up. Ben is looking at him. They wake Hugo up.

Emily looks onto her son John with her mom. He’s the smallest preemie to survive. The nurse was about to take him out of incubator. Emily runs away and says that she can’t do it. Mrs. Locke says that she wants to know how to proceed with an adoption. A strange man is looking at her through the window. It’s Dr. Richard Alpert who recruited Juliet to the Others. The trouble is that he hasn’t aged a day.

Hurley says that they can see the cabin because they are the craziest. Locke wants to look for the Dharma Initiative. He’s at the mass grave where Ben shot him. Hurley asks what happened to them. Locke says that Ben happened to the Dharma Initiative.

In the past, John gets a visit from the creepy Dr. Richard Alpert. He wants to enrol John into the special school for special kids that he runs. He’s been drawing the black smoke monster. He’s about 7. Alpert shows him a book of laws, a baseball glove, a vial filled with sand, a compass, a knife and a comic book. He is asked which of these things belong to him already. He picks the vial of sand, the compass and the knife. John is sure that the knife belongs to him. Alpert is pissed because John lied to him. He leaves immediately.

Locke is going through the desiccated bodies of the Dharma Initiative. Ben says that the Others wiped them out but it wasn’t his decision. The leaders decided. Locke finds Horace, the mathematician. He had blueprints for a cabin.

Lapidus tells Keamy and the captain that Mahew just died. The Doc couldn’t do anything for him. Keamy wants the key from Gault. The key is for the safe. He gets a red envelope with the secondary protocol. Keamy plans on torching the island. He knows where the Others are hiding out, thanks to Charles Widmore’s intelligence.

The captain sends Omar away. The captain tells him to hide in the pantry before Keamy comes back. Sayid convinces him to giving them the zodiac to get their people off the island.

Locke looks at the blueprints. He knows where the cabin is. He tells Hugo to go away. Hurley wants to stay. Ben congratulates Locke. Hurley actually thinks that staying was his idea. Locke says that he isn’t like Ben.

In the past, John is older. He’s in his teens. He was locked in his locker. His teacher tells him that he’s spoken with Dr. Alpert. He wants John to go to their summer camp at Mittelas Laboratories. John isn’t interested. He gets picked on enough at school.

Micheal gets some help from Lapidus. He tells Lapidus that Keamy is going to kill everyone on the island. He shouldn’t drive him back there.

Keamy is getting something strange strapped to his body. It looks like a transmitter or something like that. Lapidus takes Michael to the engines.

Desmond and Sayid are about to leave. Desmond says that he can’t go back to that island. Not when Penny is coming for him. He will never go back there. Sayid leaves on the zodiac by himself.

Ben is despondent over the death of his daughter Alex. He tells John that there are consequences of being chosen. Destiny is a fickle bitch.

Hurley finds the cabin while they talk.

It’s after John’s accident in the past. He is in rehabilitation. After rehabilitation, the lawyer Abbadon wheels John back to his room. He tells John that he needs to go on walkabout, with only a knife and his wits. Abbadon says that he went on walkabout and found out that he was something different. He tells him that when’s he’s ready, he will listen. And then when he runs into him again, he will own Abbadon a favour.

Keamy’s mercs are getting ready to leave. Omar questions the Doc. They are packing some heavy artillery. I see some .50 machine guns and some LAW. Lapidus refuses to take them. Keamy says that he will kill him if he doesn’t. In retaliation, he slits the Doc’s throat. It’s funny, because seconds before Omar told the Doc that the morse code message he got earlier says that the Doc washed up on the island with his throat slit.

Gault is trying to stop him. Keamy shows him what he has on his arm. Before we know it, Keamy has shot Gault. Lapidus agrees to take them to the island. Desmond saw all of this. Lapidus switches on a sat phone furtively.

Juliet surprises Jack running around eating. She is pissed at him. If he tears his stitches, he’s going to be worse for wear. They hear the chopper coming back. They think that they are saved. They are wrong. They see that a package was thrown down. It’s Lapidus’ sat phone. It has a tracker. Jack thinks that they want them to follow.

Locke and his party walk up to the cabin. Ben says that he’s not going into the cabin. Locke is going in by himself. He goes into the cabin. He finds someone waiting for him. It’s not Jacob. It’s Christian Sheppard, Jack’s father. He hears someone else behind him. He turns the light and sees Claire.

Christian tells him that it’s probably best if he doesn’t mention that he saw Claire. Locke wonders where the baby is. Christian says that Aaron is where he is supposed to be. Locke asks what can he do to save the island.

Claire has got a strange knowing smile-smirk on her face. Hurley and Ben are waiting outside. Hurley pulls out a Snickers bar and starts to eat. He gives half to Ben who accepts it.

Locke comes back out of the cabin. Locke says that he wants them to move the island.
