The iPad is the first computer I switch on during the day, and the last to be switched off. There are lots of nifty things you can use the iPad for, and soon you’ll be able to use it as a 3D object scanner.

Nissan 3E Augmented Reality Glasses: Drive Like a Cyborg

I find that receiving too much information while I’m driving can be a major distraction, but I guess that Nissan thinks that Japanese drivers can handle it. They’ve just unveiled their own augmented reality glasses which appear to compete directly with Google Glass.

Canon MREAL “Mixed Reality” Head-Mounted Display: Seamless AR Comes at a Price

Visual Science’s Ebolavirus 3D Model is 10 Times More Complex Than Their HIV Model

The Ebolavirus was first described in 1976 during the Zaire ebolavirus outbreaks in Africa. It’s one of the most lethal viruses on Earth, and it’s part of the Filoviridae family that includes Ebolavirus and Marburgvirus. Recent taxonomic updates have changed the way that we refer to these viruses, but they remain just as deadly, since once patients are infected, they develop severe hemorrhagic fever that has a fatality rate of almost 90% in some cases, which is the case in the Zaire ebolavirus variant.

Print Your Own Terminator: Maybe 2012 is The End of the World

2012 is the year the world will end, if you are to believe the looneys who are convinced that because the Mayans didn’t bother to include 2013 on their calendars, it means Armageddon. Button Sculptures Look Like They’re Floating in Air

What do you get when you combine fishing line with buttons? Sculptures! That’s what Miami-based artist Augusto Esquivel is doing. He basically arranges different lengths of fishing line in a grid, then carefully strings-in sewing buttons in a variety of different colors to create shapes.
