LG Lucid 3: Affordable Droiding

I recently changed smartphones after I had lost mine whilst after dropping it from my motorcycle, consulting it for directions when I was stopped. A few cars drove over it, and I was surprised that it still worked with a completely shattered screen. Nevertheless, I was happily surprised when I no longer had to fight the autocorrect on my new phone. If you’re going to change phones, check out the new and affordable LG Lucid 3.

Moves: A Standalone Activity Tracker that Really Works

I kind of like tracking all of my activities, especially since I tend to run alone so I need the motivation to stay on target. While apps like RunKeeper and others work well to track runs, a simple pedometer is something good to keep track of every single move you make in a day.

Moves is a simple app that works in the background of your phone’s OS. It will track your movements automatically. There’s no need for any external devices or plug-ins.

Pressy Is Your Android Phone’s Physical External Customizable Button You’ve Been Waiting For

Touchscreens seem to have banished most physical keys on phones and tablets, but if you’re missing the buttons on your phone, check out the Pressy project that will give you back some buttons, but only on Android, at least for now.

Pressy is a hardware button that plugs into your headphone jack and it can trigger a number of customizable functions. This could mean a shortcut to directly snap a photo and upload it to your favorite social network. This is done thanks to the free Pressy app, which will allow a number of shortcuts to be created. If you’re using your headphone jack, you can use a small key chain housing. A button on your headphones then doubles as a the Pressy key.

At the rate that I change smartphones, about once or twice a year, I could probably bankrupt myself pretty quickly if I were to buy Vertu phones instead of the brands I usually do. Recently, there was a rumor that Vertu would be using Android in its next smartphone. According to Japanese gadget site Blog of Mobile!!, the rumors are true, and Android specs have turned up in its certification testing data.
