SURYA Sunscreen Sculpture: A Creative Way to Deal with Unwanted Solar Glare

This awesome sunscreen looks like it would be at home in deep space, but it’s actually designed for the arts district in Dallas, Texas. The sculpture/sunscreen was commissioned by the police to protect us from brain scans by aliens (NOT!).

The Gramohorn II: Accoustic Speakers Gone Wild

The HTC One has been a pleasant phone to own, ever since I upgraded from my iPhone. But I have to say that I’ve never considered adding on a pair of 3D-printed speakers that cost thousands of dollars. These speakers look interesting, but they’ll cost you quite a bit of cash.

Ark Nova: The Inflatable Building That Fits in Your Pocket (Not!)

Inflatable buildings are definitely an interesting way of creating temporary structures, like for concerts, weddings, etc. This particular blow-up building concept has been in the works for at least a year and it looks pretty impressive.

Comfort Cast Makes Broken Arms Look Almost Desireable

Whenever you have a broken limb, life can get quite difficult. There aren’t plenty of ways that you can make it better, however, sticking a screen on it and completely modernizing is something I hadn’t thought about before now.

Aston Martin DBC Concept Wants to Give Enzo a Run for Its Money

Aston Martin makes some beautiful cars, and I have to say that I really like the look of this concept DBC. The low stance and curved lines are reminiscent of a McLaren, and it looks very fast and agile.

Fan TV Entertainment Center: The Zen Way of Watching TV

I’ve seen many different kinds of clunky TV boxes, and many are forgettable. There are quite a few that are basically eyesores in your living room, and it’s not always easy to find a way to make them appealing, except if you completely hide them away.

August Smart Lock: Hope My Front Door Doesn’t Get Hacked

Keys have evolved over the last few years, quite significantly. There are cars which no longer require keys at all, starting at the touch of a button when the key fob is nearby. These days, people like controlling all of their stuff via smartphones, and I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to control door locks with them. Or not.

The August Smart Lock is a system that allows anyone to enter your home, if they’ve been granted a virtual key.

HG one Coffee Grinder: Not the Usual Morning Grind

Having a good coffee grinder is essential to making a good cup of java. The great thing is that you can get lots of different beans and brew some great coffee to get you going each day. This coffee grinder is something else. It looks like a rocket ship, ready to lift off into space.

Knock on Wood Shoes: Footwear from the Future

There are plenty of wooden galoshes and slippers around, which means that wood can be used to make useful shoes. The thing about woodens is that they always tend to look quite old-fashioned. On the other hand, these wooden shoes don’t look like any I’ve ever seen. You could probably wear these on the grid in TRON and not skip a beat.

Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept: Holy Blow Dry, Batman!

There’s no doubt about it, but retro-modernism is here to stay. Check out this amazing concept created by Aston Martin to celebrate their 100th anniversary! I can already imagine toupées and hair flying all over the place, as the Speedster zips down the road. One the plus side, once you get one, you will no longer need a blow dryer.
