Back at camp, Denise is still reeling from her 6th tribal. Jeff wanted to keep Penner around to take him further in the game. Penner is annoyed that Katie wrote his name down.

A ship comes to see Tandang. The tribes are merging. The boat will take them to their new beach. At Kalabaw, the same thing happens. I wonder where the new beach is. The tribes have 10 minutes to gather their belongings.

I just saw a tarsier during the IR camera shooting at Kalabaw. Katie knows she’s the weakest link. The next day, she talks with Denise about the idol. They both think that Penner has got it.

At Tandang, the tribe realizes that Mike has been eating rice raw. He believes that it will cook in his stomach. The tribe has got now food because of Mike. Both Pete and Arlis want to get rid of him.

Matsing’s spirits are low after tribal. It’s another cold night for the two remaining tribemembers. They get treemail and it implies that they might merge with another tribe. They start looking for the idol. They find it after a while searching. Their spirits are back up for a while.

Survivor Philippines Create A Little Chaos S25E04 (CBS)

So Matsing voted Angie out unanimously. The Matsing tribe is dwindling away, mostly due to Russell’s incompetence.

The next day, the Matsing three are cold. They can’t restart the fire. At Tandang, they are also suffering. It’s raining a lot. They also try to start a fire but are successful. For some reason, the tribe uncovers the clue. Abi thinks that RC took it out of the spot that they had buried it and it dropped out of her bag. RC doesn’t know what’s going on. Peter put it there. He planted it.

At Tandang, Abi twisted her knee and doesn’t want to look for the idol with RC. Abi’s paranoia is getting to RC and she leaves her alone after a little tiff. Abi is totally flaky.

Religious girl isn’t happy that Angie and Malcolm are cuddling for warmth. She wants one of them evicted. Previously, Russ said that he will step back from the leader role because he almost got evicted tonight. Where have I heard that before?

Survivor Philippines Survivor Smacked Me in the Chops S25E01 (CBS)

As another September rolls around, another season of Survivor has started. This time around, they are in Caramoan, in the Philippines. The players are split up into three tribes. Three survivors who were eliminated because of medical reasons are back. They include Russell Swan, Jonathan Penner and Michael Skupin. Of those three, Jonathan is the only one who was a good player, as far as my memory goes. Russell is a disaster waiting to happen, and I’m sure that he’ll be very entertaining to watch, if he makes it past the first few rounds of elimination.

The last time I regularly watched the news was quite a long time ago. It was probably more than a decade ago, when I had cable and a TV. I haven’t had either for a long time. I had also gotten tired of watching biased and partisan American news, from the big networks including CNN. I never was a fan of FOX news. Most of the time, I watched the BBC World News, which I found less biased and it had better coverage of world events.

This season starts out with two surprises. Well, not really, but two changes to the game. The first thing is that the two tribes will be living in the same camp. The other thing is that it’s men vs women, kind of like on The Apprentice. Good or bad? In my opinion, it’s mostly good. A bunch of women together is a recipe for disaster. They will immediately start bickering, infighting and just making things go wrong. This is what happens with the ladies.

I’m sort of annoyed that Kim won, but she definitely outplayed everyone else. By the time the boys realized what was up, it was too late and most of them were gone. I found it really pathetic how some of the survivors were crying during the jury questions. WTF, it’s a game. I can understand Kim’s smug face, but I still disliked her most of the time. It’s strange that no one thought of evicting her when she didn’t have the immunity necklace, even though she had an immunity idol. Anyway, this season was a bit of a wash towards the end. I’m pretty happy that Aliahsa didn’t get far. She’s a real bitch that one.

Unsurprisingly, Tarzan alienated himself enough with his antics to get on the nerves of everyone in his tribe and they finally voted him off. This would have been the perfect time to vote off smug Kim, but she’s got the game tied down. All of the others are running circles around her, not really knowing how to play it. The smart move by Kim would be to no longer go on rewards, because that’s when bad stuff happens at camp. She’s got them eating out of her hands, at least for a little while.
