Windows 8 was released with much fanfare, and there are a ton of different devices launching with the brand new operating system from Microsoft. Windows 8 was released on October 26th, 2012, and with its next iteration of OS Microsoft has given developers a more feasible way of developing touch-based laptops and desktops to capture some of the market that they lost to tablets. There are a host of new devices available right now, and while some of them are hybrids of tablets and notebooks, others still work as laptops. Here are some of the ones we’re most anticipating.
I’ve seen a couple of people with the Samsung Galaxy Note, and they all commented on how big the device felt in their hands. Well Samsung decided that it still wasn’t large enough and has announced an even bigger Galaxy Note.

The internets are abuzz with Microsoft’s latest offering. The first tablet from the software giant borrows its name from their already well-regarded multitouch system, and is named Surface. The tablet was unveiled last night in LA with big fanfare at a press event. Surface will initially come in two variations, and will run Microsoft Windows 8.

Initially, Dell aimed its slick looking Studio Hybrid to students and new PC users, but this little beauty might be the perfect form factor to use in your living room. It does have all of the usual markings of a minuscule home theater computer. It includes an optional slot-loading Blu-ray drive, an HDMI port, an optical digital audio back, wireless networking and a few USB ports to hook up TV tuners, wireless remotes and interface peripherals.
