Twelvesouth HiRise for iMac & Cinema Display: Put Them at Eye-Level, Stylishly

It’s been said that any computer monitor should be situated at about eye-level for optimal ergonomics. That being said, most monitors needs a bit of extra lift to make them work at that height. Twelvesouth’s HiRise for iMac elevates your computer just to the right height.

AluRack Lets You Stash Stuff Behind Your iMac or Cinema Display

There are quite a few people using laptops as their main machines these days. Though I still use a desktop PC for a lot of my computing tasks, I have set up a MacBook Pro 17 as an ancillary workstation with an external screen. Monitors tend to be quite large, and finding the optimal placement for your laptop can be problematic. I like this solution because it actually hides your laptop behind your monitor.

I’ve seen a number of desk organizers, but this one designed by Micheal Cavada for Quirky sure looks nice – especially for Mac users. It comes complete with extra USB ports and has a perfect place to hide away your keyboard and mouse when not in use. If you like things to match and you’ve got a Mac, then this will most definitely work well alongside your Apple.

iDesk: A Microsoft Surface-Like Alternative for Macs

Anyone who’s seen or who knows about Microsoft Surface understands that the idea of a giant touchscreen tabletop is nothing new. Adam Benton’s iDesk concept is simply the Apple-lover’s version of the same expensive tech that’s been available for Windows for some time. While I do think that Surface is extremely cool, the price of these large touchscreens is still out of reach for mere mortals (~$8,400 USD).

Fly Your AR.Drone with a Game Controller and Spy on Neighbors More Precisely

When the Parrot AR.Drone was released, it was supposed to be piloted from an iPhone or Android smartphone. However, that didn’t gel with some users since it’s not as precise as they’d like. Serious AR.Drone geeks have thought about using a game controller from their favorite video game, or even better, a flight-simulator joystick, and have put together various hacks to make this happen.
