This episode starts slowly, but towards the end, the shit truly hits the fan. Roger has health problems and it pushes Don into Rachel’s arms once again. Midge is no longer in the picture, and he can’t find solace in the arms of his wife.
Cooper has to act fast so that they don’t lose any clients. He calls Joan to the office in the middle of the night.

Don gets courted by another ad agency. They go to extreme lengths in order to secure an offer with him. They hire his wife as a model. Don didn’t like that approach, and as soon as he sees the pictures, he knows that they were just pulling Betty’s leg. He accepts an offer from Sterling-Cooper.
This didn’t really help Betty. She was feeling better when she was working, but now she goes back to being a housewife. Don reveals that he never really had a mother. He wish his mother would have been as good as a mother as Betty.
