Sam/Dan came in 1^st. They beat Meghan/Cheyne. The poker players were eliminated not for lack of trying. The teams leave for Stockholm, Sweden. They must travel to an amusement park. There are two KLM flights. One leaves at 6:55 AM and another at 9:25. The KLM counter is closed and doesn’t open until 5:30AM.

I find that strange, as these types of counters are open almost 24/7. It must have been closed because of the Race. Gary/Matt and Ericka/Brian don’t make it on the early flight. They are 2:30 hours behind the others.

The Amazing Race This Is Not My Finest Hour S15E06 (CBS)

Mika/Canaan were eliminated because of Mika’s fear of heights and water. Plus, the BB players heckled her good. Teams depart for Amsterdam. They will have to drive themselves to a monument for their next clue. The earliest flight leaves at midnight. This is an equalizer. Sam is an anthropologist. It’s an equalizer flight. The BB players admit that they heckled Mika/Canaan. Sam/Dan come out to the group.

Survivor Samoa All Hell Breaks Loose S19E08 (CBS)

It’s time for the merge. Foa Foa is down to 4. Russell has got some ideas about what to do, but they will just be picked off if Galu sticks together. However, Shambo and the boys have irritated the girls.

At Galu, Laura thinks that Shambo doesn’t like her. There is some tension. Laura’s canteen is missing. Shambo isn’t turning it around and making it about her and how Laura is a cheerleader in high school. Erik is in his hole and thinks that Laura is a bitch since they all know that Shambo is nuts.

Stargate Universe Water S01E06 (Syfy)

I’ve never been a Stargate fan. I’ve tried watching SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, but never really found them compelling enough. I actually like the original movie with Kurt Russell, but the series never really interested me that much. One of my friends recently bought all of the seasons cheaply. I thought about watching them, but ran out of time. Scalzi is a creative consultant on this series and it looks pretty interesting, so I’ve decided to give it a go.

Now, before any bitching and hating starts― too late, it’s already started, I haven’t bothered to read, review, or watch any of the Stargate series, and I’m not going to. I’ve watched a couple of episodes and didn’t continue. I tried Stargate Atlantis, but didn’t like it. My friend told me that starting season 4, SG-1 was really good. I can’t really comment on that as I stopped watching the series after a few episodes.

Basically, I’m a new viewer of Stargate, but I’m not a science-fiction novice. It puts me in an interesting spot about reviewing this show. My point of view is from someone who hasn’t watched any of the SG shows, so this review and recap should be interesting to those of you who haven’t watched SG before. Sanctuary Hero S02E04 (Syfy)

I have to say that the season premiere of Sanctuary impressed me quite a bit. From on online show, Sanctuary has developed a lot. The show has a lot more money poured into it. Plus, the story is just getting interesting, with Magnus and her acolytes fighting the Cabal.

The premiere impressed me enough to want to write something up for it. I watched all of last season while it was being aired, and I really enjoyed where the end of the season was heading. The Sanctuary is a place where all abnormals can go to seek Sanctuary from the modern world. Abnormals come in all different types, from vampires to Yeti. I know that it sounds a bit stupid, but the show matured well into its new TV format, especially towards the end of last season.

This season is no different. Well, actually it is, but things just keep getting better. We’ve got a dark conspiracy, a kidnapped daughter that’s been brainwashed, and the Sanctuary team trying to right wrongs.

Castle Vampire Weekend S02E06 (ABC)

I’ve been a Nathan Fillion fan for quite a while. Ever since Firefly, I was really impressed by his acting. Since he is starring in a new series which premiered last Monday, I took it upon myself to watch it weekly.

Anyway, what do I like about Castle? Well it stars an obnoxious, womanizing novelist. Detective Kate Beckett is a closet hottie, played by Stana Katic. Her hotness is kind of hard to explain. The actress is quite hot, but in Castle, she toned it down. She doesn’t wear much makeup and favours a natural look, kind of like “Oh I’m hot, but I could be the girl next door, BTW, FYI, I’m still smoking hot.” That’s how I described her in my mind. She’s kind of got the ex-catwalk model look going for her, which is quite good.

So that’s a good point. Plus she’s Canadian and a good actress. That’s always a good combination. Molly C. Quinn plays Alexis, Rick Castle’s 15-year old daughter. I don’t really know how old she is, but she’s a striking looking young lady. She reminds me of my wife, who’s a redhead as well. So I have a bit of a weakness for them.

The Amazing Race Do It For The Hood Do It For The Suburbs S15E05 (CBS)

Apparently, Mika will face her fear of heights. Teams are leaving with a locked briefcase to the marina. They face a roadblock. They must row their way to a yacht to meet the Sheik who will give them a watch. The time of the watch is the combination of the briefcase which holds their next clue. Teams must make their way to the Abra Station. Cheyne/Meghan are already gone when Brian/Ericka arrive. Sam/Dan want the BB players out. Brian is having trouble rowing. Ericka thinks that he’s so cute.

The Amazing Race Im Like Ricky Bobby S15E04 (CBS)

Zev/Justin arrived first and lost their passports. They were eliminated. The teams are still in Cambodia. They are leaving for the Persian Gulf. They must find the world’s tallest building, the Burj Dubai. The clue will be on the top of the building.
