Structure Sensor for iPad: 3D Scanning to Go

When I decided to get an iPad instead of a Kindle to read my books, it opened up new realms of possibilities. The iPad is the first computer I switch on during the day, and the last to be switched off. There are lots of nifty things you can use the iPad for, and soon you’ll be able to use it as a 3D object scanner.

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo: Mo Power, Handling and Speed

I’ve always been a fan of factory-modified cars (meaning that all mods are under warranty) – especially when they blow away more expensive, luxury sports cars. I love cars like the Subaru WRX STi and the Nissan GT-R. Naturally, the GT-R is quite a bit pricier, but this new version promises to surpass the performance of million-dollar rides. Are you up for it?

There have been only a few Nike shoes with LEDs, but these snowboard boots take the top prize, thanks to 30 LEDs implanted into the swoosh on each boot. You definitely won’t be invisible on your next night run down the slopes.

SURYA Sunscreen Sculpture: A Creative Way to Deal with Unwanted Solar Glare

This awesome sunscreen looks like it would be at home in deep space, but it’s actually designed for the arts district in Dallas, Texas. The sculpture/sunscreen was commissioned by the police to protect us from brain scans by aliens (NOT!).

I find that receiving too much information while I’m driving can be a major distraction, but I guess that Nissan thinks that Japanese drivers can handle it. They’ve just unveiled their own augmented reality glasses which appear to compete directly with Google Glass.

Titan Arm Assistive Exoskeleton Wins James Dyson Award

Exoskeletons are definitely the way to go to boost and assist people’s natural strength. There have been numerous exoskeleton prototypes created, but most of them cost an arm and a leg to make. That’s not the case of the Titan Arm, winner of the 2013 James Dyson Award.

Ducati Monster 1200: Getting Faster By the Moment

I like how fast crotch rockets can go, but that sitting position will get uncomfortable pretty fast. That’s one of the reasons why I’ve always liked the Ducati Monster, which combines performance with a more natural seating position. The Italian motorcycle company just announced their third generation Monster bike.
