From time to time, I’ve had a comfortable office chair. Though when you move, change jobs, etc., chairs seem to get a lower priority than more essential things. If you’re like me, you probably spend way too much time staring at a computer screen. There are some ways to reduce eyestrain, but I have to say that using IKEA’s Dioder LED light strips is one of the most effective since it’s kind of a low-tech, low-cost way of hacking your monitor into a Philips Ambilight.

OK, so the tangle of wires behind my desk is getting pretty ridiculous. Luckily, I’ve got it confined in a corner, so it’s not going to take over my place any time soon, but something like Unlace might just banish the cable squid to Davy Jones’ Locker forever.

To be honest, I’m never satisfied with my workstation. Most of the time, I say to myself that it will do for now, but there’s always room for improvement. Check out the BendDesk, which merges a desk with a computer workstation in a most efficient manner.

We all need desks, but did you ever think about hacking the box in which your computer came in to make it into a desk? While I’d love to say that’s what we’ve got here, this particular desk is made entirely from corrugated cardboard, but wasn’t made from the actual cardboard box the computer shipped in. Still, it’s pretty cool.
