Nightmares & Dreamscapes, by Stephen King (TNT)

This article is part of the meta-post Dreams defined or how New Orleans will be put under the microscope. This article reviews the new anthology mini-series from Stephen King on TNT called Nightmares & Dreamscapes.

This is a new series of anthologies from Stephen King on TNT. It reminds me of the Masters of Horror series from Showtime, with great horror directors like Dario Argento doing a stand alone episode in this series.

It stars a great cast of actors and excellent production values. I really like the series, it is quite different from other anthologies. Until now, I’ve seen William Hurt, William H Macy, Ron Livingston and Tom Berenger.

I’m watching “The End of the Whole Mess” and I am somewhat disturbed by the fact that this story is about curing the violence from the world by a synthesized “cure”. I think it is the worst that the brothers are exposing people to the compounds without testing it officially or clearly. It could easily be a plague.

One thing that I have always wondered is that Stephen King produces a lot of material. He comes out with books and books every single year. So I have always wondered if he writes all the books himself or gets guys to ghostwrite in his style.

It is also part of the meta-post Dreams defined or how New Orleans will be put under the microscope.
