Rocketboom and ZeFrank Updates

This article is part of the meta-post 4169 Words Mostly Mine or How George Allen Is A Racist Biggot. This article gives some updates for the last week on Rocketboom and ZeFrank.

I have kept up to date with Mr Angry’s vlogs. Right now, I’m catching up with RB and ZF vlogs. RB has a few top notch episodes and some terrible episodes. Monday’s episodes was one of the best that JoCo has done. It’s actually even better than some that Amanda Congdon did. Amanda who, you say? Don’t know either, but looks like she’s out of the picture for now. I hope she resurfaces at some point. Her blog is updated though.

Great RB and bad RB.

Private Contractors in Iraq

My view on this is that the expression “private contractors”, especially in security, is a euphemism for mercenaries. And like it’s been demonstrated, most security contractors in Iraq don’t have the experience to justify that title. They haven’t been trained as soldiers in conflict. Most mercenaries have military backgrounds, but a stint in the National Guard isn’t enough to justify the risk of being killed. Slowly but surely, private security firms are building up mercenary armies. They don’t care how many die; all they care about are the contracts. And probably a Darwinian hope that the mercenaries who survive will make their company stronger.

Ze is still at his best, most notable the Allen “Macaca” incident from last Monday stirred up controversy all over the blogosphere due to its blatant racism. Red Alert on Homeland Security!
