As we are approaching our departure date pretty quickly, we have started taking care of business.
We have booked our Air Asia flights to Phuket from Bangkok. We will be arriving in Bangkok at midnight on the 16th of February. We have booked a private room in a hostel for a few days, this one was recommended by the Lonely Planet, so our guess is that it is pretty good. We are then going to fly to Phuket from Bangkok on the 20th of February, in the morning. The flights were about 7000NTD (220USD) for both of us. We have paid for our flights, earmarked money for our lodging in Bangkok.
We went through our finances quickly, and paid off the debts that we had planned to. It still leaves us with enough money to have fun in Thailand. Personally, I don’t really know what we are going to do in Bangkok. My wife has read the lonely planet and found a few interesting places for us to visit in Bangkok. We have decided to take our laptop with us to download our photos. It has Photoshop and a few other programs, so in the end, we will be already streamlining the amount of photos we will be taking back with us to Taiwan after our holiday. I have found my lens and my bag, which I plan on getting in the next few days. Things are going according to plan.
At the same time, we are both looking forward to this time of travel. Looking forward to taking great pictures in a country that we both have not yet visited before. There are still a few tasks left before we can really relax.
