How bad are the drivers in Taiwan?

Ask any expat who has spent significant time abroad the most maddening aspect of living in a foreign country and the answer invariably is: the insane local drivers. I’m no different, and this particular kvetch is one of my national pastimes. I’ve read Taiwan’s English newspapers maybe three times since arriving in June, and on one of those occasions the other day, the Taipei Times just happened to feature a “Letters to the Editor” page devoted to foreigners’ frustrations on driving in Taiwan.

Here is the second lesson plan I used with success from the same thread on forumosa. Thanks to Fox. For this time, I only had time to use the first part of the worksheet, which was a modified version of truth or dare. The students really liked it and we got some good energy.

Adult Conversational English Lesson Plan 1

I have mentioned before that I had to use my own material and lesson plans for my class at a language school. I found this excellent lesson plan on forumosa. Thanks to Fox.

About half of the time, we go over the book, which is American Headway 2. It’s good, but a bit dry sometimes. These plans add a lot more fun and make all students interact in English, which is the plan for these types of classes. At best, I try to schedule between 60 to 45 minutes for these plans, but I always run out of time. My guess is that their are best suited for 90 minutes.
