Kid Nation Let Me Talk S01E10 (CBS)

I’ve changed my mind about Kid Nation. It’s just like some form of summer camp activity with cameras. CBS has noticed it as well, because the ratings aren’t great either. It’s still interesting to see the kids interact.

The town council is completely changed and some people aren’t too happy about the changes. Both Greg and Blaine are one the council and they make some strange initial decisions.

It’s pretty funny to see and I wonder what will happen next. At the end of the episode, most of the people are satisfied with the council, but not with Greg. However, there aren’t enough malcontents for another election.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

It’s election time again. Zach is running against Blaine. Guylan doesn’t want to be in the town council. By default, DK gets on the council unanimously. Michael gets on the town council and Laurel is off by 6-3 votes. Zach is off the council and Blaine is on by a vote of 5-4. Anjay is off and Greg is on by a vote of 7-2. Sophia isn’t happy because she thinks that Greg sucks.

DK thinks that the biggest problem in town is the fact that people cut other people off all the time. Blaine and Greg decide to make the town do an exercise. Erik thinks that Greg is the most disrespectful person in town. He claps when Natasha makes the mistake at laughing out during Kelsey’s speech.

Jared thinks it sucks, including the other people. Sophia thinks that it isn’t appropriate. Michael apologizes to his team. Blaine and Greg listen in during the talks of the green team. Erik said that he would like Blaine and Greg to do no work and sit in the middle of town complimenting people.

The next day, that’s exactly what Greg, Blaine and DK do. There is a confrontation in the middle of town with the town council and the green district.

Later Greg apologizes to Michael for his behavior.

The council tries to motivate Taylor. They tell her if she doesn’t work, she won’t get to take part in the reward.

There is another showdown. It involves pies. The blue district is first. Green is second. Yellow are the cooks. Red are the laborer class. They win the reward. They have to choose between ponies and letters from home. The council decides to pick the letters. They give the letter to Taylor anyway.

Laurel wants to leave. Most of the kids approve of the job that the town council is doing. Most of the green team are against the town council. The town calls Greg mean. They want Greg to change. No one wants to leave the city. They give the gold star to Laurel.
