Chuck S01E11 Chuck Versus The Crown Vic (NBC)

Chuck is an American science-fiction television program created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The series is about an “average computer-whiz-next-door” who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend Bryce Larkin, a rogue CIA agent, which happens to embed the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. This is called the intersect.

From the Wikipedia entry on Chuck.

While Chuck has to deal with his new situation, he gets to enjoy the company of Sarah, working for the CIA, and Casey, working for the DOD. They use him as an asset to accomplish their missions, which surprisingly happen around town (?).

NBC has ordered a full season of Chuck. The other show that got a full season was Life. That’s great news!

In this episode, there is a bit of frost in the relationship between Sarah and Chuck. Chuck doesn’t know if their kiss meant anything to her anymore. At the same time, they get a new mission. Meanwhile at the BuyMore, it’s Christmas time. Lester is pretending to be Jewish. Morgan gets to meet Anna’s Taiwanese parents.

I liked this episode. I found Morgan pretty funny. Chuck is getting mission savvy, he’s becoming more than just a gigantic computer. Trouble is brewing at the horizon because the new intersect is almost up and running. Once it is, Casey will have to kill Chuck.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Anna tells Morgan that her parents are in town and they picked her up yesterday. They are Taiwanese, which I find pretty funny.

Morgan starts to freak out about meeting Anna’s parents. Chuck calms him down, but Jeff and Lester make him nervous again.

Chuck picks up Sarah. She is surprisingly cold towards him. It looks like she’s trying to distance herself from him. Chuck learns that he’s got a 100 to gamble. Sarah means 100K. Chuck thinks that it’s 100$. He looses. Kirk is talking with Rashan Chen, an attaché to the premier. He is dirty. They are using the charity as a front to launder money. Sarah makes a move on Kirk. She gets invited to Kirk’s yacht by herself.

Morgan is making an ass of himself during the dinner with Anna’s parents. He sees Sarah getting lotion on her back by Kirk. He phones Chuck. Chuck goes by and finds Casey staking out the yacht. Sarah and Casey are benched for their bad handling of the Kirk op.

Morgan sends Chuck a picture from the diplomat party where they are. He thinks that the plates are on the ship.

Casey doesn’t believe him, but he manages to convince Sarah. They go to the marina and find Casey waiting for him. Chuck finds a GPS missile tracking device on the ship that Morgan and Anna are on. Casey says that they are going to bury the evidence.

Chuck and Casey have to create a diversion to get Kirk out of the way. Chuck is a terrible actor but they manage to succeed. However Kirk launches the rocket. Chuck will use the GPS software from the yacht that he installed. He is able to divert the rocket. The rocket is returning to the yacht. Chuck has to input new GPS coordinates. He decides to use the Casey’s Crown Vic.

Morgan tells Chuck that he puked after eating too much seafood. Anna was there for him and he thinks that she is amazing. It’s time for the BuyMore Christmas party. They get down and party. Chuck apologizes again to Casey for destroying his Crown Vic.

Morgan and Anna talk.

Sarah turns up at the party. They have a little warm talk and shake hands.

Casey is told by the DOD that the beta version of the intersect is operational. He will have to take care of Chuck soon.
