Spooks S06E03 (BBC)

Spooks is back for another season on BBC. I’ve really enjoyed the last few seasons of Spooks. They aren’t afraid of getting rid of important characters. On top of that, this show has realistically portrayed intelligence operatives, which isn’t easy to find.

Spooks will be back for another season, but a lot of actors are going to change. It is the last season for Rupert Perry-Jones, who plays Adam Carter. I’ve also read that a new spin-off show called Rogue Spooks will air next year. Sounds good.

Contrary to previous seasons, after the initial two part season premiere, this season of Spooks features the same general plotline for the whole season, mainly the Anglo-Iranian peace process and the Iranian race for nuclear arms.

This episode introduces the Yalta Group, a pan-service group that seeks to undermine the way that Americans are dealing with their foreign affairs policy. I enjoyed this episode. It was good enough to make me want to watch the rest of the season on that same day.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

The feed is coming in from Malcolm. He tells them that the main part of the fuselage has been moved. The men were wearing biocontainment suits.

Alan the guy from the MOD tells Jo that there were highly toxic chemicals on the plane. The plane was British.

Harry tells Malcolm that he has been exposed to the chemicals. He has to be MEDEVAC’ed.

They want to recruit her. They tell her that Zaff was killed.

Aurora is the replacement of the American spyplane. It wasn’t authorized yet.

The base is scrambling to find the intruders.

Aurora brought down the British flight. The dates, flight and journey track Zaff movements back from Iran. The Americans were behind it. The Americans were running Copenhagen. They tell Harry.

Adam tells Malcolm that he isn’t going to die. There were no chemicals.

Adam meets with Anna again. Ros gives Zaf’s bloody clothes to Harry.
