Torchwood is a science fiction drama television program, created by Russell T Davies and starring John Barrowman and Eve Myles. It deals with the machinations and activities of the Cardiff branch of the fictional Torchwood Institute, who deal with supernatural occurrences. An initial 13-part series was commissioned by the BBC as a spin-off from the long-running science fiction program Doctor Who with which it is closely interlinked.
From the Torchwood Wikipedia entry.
The season finale of the second season of Torchwood wasn’t bad. It wasn’t that good either. I was actually surprised. Most of this season’s shows were abysmal. In this episode, we find out who the true villain is. It’s someone from Jack’s path and he lays siege to Cardiff because Jack cares about the city.
Needless to say, a few members die a final death. Why do I say this? Well there are some members of the team, like Owen, who are already dead. Another one joins the list of the dead. Captain Jack and Captain John both survive and I gather that Captain John will join the cast for the next season. More gay love!
I’m just happy that Doctor Who started again. I wish that Russel Davies would write Torchwood. It would be a lot more interesting.
Warning: Spoilers ahead.
