Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles Goodbye To All That S02E05 (Fox)

The Sarah Connor character was made popular in the Terminator series of movies, with the second one being the most memorable by far. James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton made this a great movie to watch when I was a teenager back in 1991. This was also the first time that we saw the T-1000, made out of liquid metal. It was the first movie to successfully combine CGI with real characters in a movie.

I wasn’t surprised that this series was renewed. There is something about Terminators that is tantalizing. The story is getting better. Cromartie is alive and well and using Ellison to find Sarah. Cameron’s reverted to her termination protocols. She tries to kill John and Sarah. I liked how this episode ended. I loved seeing another T-1000. Actually, it’s been revealed that she’s a T-1001.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Martin Bedell was in a work camp with John. He helped John put the resistance together. He’s been killed by the terminators. There are three Martin Bedell in the LA area. The other two are targets. John remembers something that was written in the basement in blood by the dead resistance fighter. They have a lead on the real Bedell.

John and Reese head over to him. Sarah and Cameron head to the other Bedell. A T888 is hunting the Bedells. John and Reese arrive at the military school. Reese remembers his past in the resistance. The school principal lets John in for three weeks. Then he asks Reese to stay on for a week. One of the replacement teachers will only arrive in a week.

Mrs. Weaver tells Ellison that she used to own the nuclear plant. She owns an interest in it. She shows him a terminator eye. Ellison goes to investigate the plant. He’s told that in August 2009 the plant will come back online with an automated system.

Another Martin Bedell is about to be killed. He’s just a kid. Sarah saves him. The T888 is hot on their tail. They manage to escape. Bedell Jr. is full of questions, but he’s scared enough by Cameron and Sarah to stay quiet.

Reese is scary as a teacher. In the future, Reese’s past, Bedell decides to save a bunch of people caught in a raid on a bunker. It’s against John’s orders. He wants to save them from the death camps. John tells Reese that Bedell plans on quitting. Reese says that won’t happen. John needs to change Bedell’s mind so that he’s there in the future. Reese thinks that the T888 will come from the woods. They are vulnerable from there.

Bedell Jr. sees his mom on TV. He freaks out. He wants a book to do a book report on. Sarah tells Cameron to contain the situation. The T888 will head back to see Bedell’s parents.

Ellison is investigating what happened to Greenway. He sees a photo of Sarah Connor at the bar. He reports his findings to Weaver. He thinks that there were two machines fighting. One of them opened the valve. Another one closed it. He says that the plant manager wants the NRC to investigate. She wants him to keep looking.

The plant manager is accosted by a hottie. I think that it’s Mrs. Weaver. She kills him. She leaves.

Cameron reports that the T888 probably moved to another Martin Bedell. The T888 has got a photo of the real Bedell. It’s coming for him. Sarah informs Reese about this.

Reese is using the squad of cadets to make an ambush for the T888. It arrives. There is a battle and Bedell is scared. He runs off. Connor distracts him. The T888 goes after John instead. They take it out in the tar pit. They set it on fire. Bedell sees this.

Sarah says goodbye to Bedell Jr. John tells Bedell that it all matters. He needs to stay there and to his duty. Reese tells John that Bedell dies saving Kyle.
