Lost is a United States serial drama television series that follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a passenger jet flying between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, United States crashes somewhere in the South Pacific. Each episode typically features a primary storyline on the island as well as a secondary storyline from another point in a character’s life. The show was created by Damon Lindelof, J. J. Abrams and Jeffrey Lieber, and is filmed primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii. The pilot episode was first broadcast on September 22, 2004. Since then, three seasons have aired. The show is produced by ABC Studios, Bad Robot Productions and Grass Skirt Productions and airs on the ABC Network in the United States. Its incidental music is composed by Michael Giacchino. The current executive producers are Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse. Because of its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming in Hawaii, the series is one of the most expensive on television.

LaFleur has to find a way to make his new pals from the future fit into Dharma Initiative life. It’s not going to be an easy sell. Thankfully, LaFleur has matured in the last three years. He’s been living with Juliet and he’s mellowed out somewhat. It gives him perspective on what to do next.
Things get more complicated after Sayid is back. They have no choice but to consider him a hostile, since they can’t explain his appearance.
This episode also tells us what happened to the new people who crashed on the Island. This includes Ben, Frank and Sun.

The story starts on Ajira Airways. The Oceanic Six are on their way back to the Island. Frank’s co-pilot tells him that Hurley is one of the Oceanic Six. The plane starts shaking. There are strange sounds and lights. When they get control back, the plane is about to crash into a mountain. Frank brings the plane level and has to crash land it. They land on a patch of sand that looks like a runway. It’s not long enough.
Frank wakes up bloody in the cockpit. His co-pilot is dead. Caesar finds Ilana passed out. He wakes her up. Her prisoner has escaped. Frank finds the Oceanic Six missing, except Sun. She’s still on board. Everyone else is gone. Ben is there. He says that Jack, Kate and Hurley are gone.
Sun grabs some sand on the beach. Lapidus makes a speech. The radio is dead. He says that this island isn’t on his chart. Caesar has found some animal cages and some buildings. There is another island across from the beach. Ben leaves when he hears this. Caesar wants to search for some supplies. Sun follows Ben. He tells her that he is going back to his island. He asks her if she wants to come.
Ben plans on taking an outrigger to the other Island. Lapidus comes after them. They are about to leave on a boat. Sun knocks him out. She says that she doesn’t trust him. Frank and Sun arrive at the dock. They hear some strange sounds in the woods. They arrive at the barracks. They look abandoned. They see a sign that is moving about in the wind. A lamp goes on in a barrack. A door opens. It’s Christian Sheppard. He says hello. When Sun asks about Jin, Christian tells them to follow him. He shows her a photo of 1977. It has all of her friends on it. Jack, Kate, and Hurley. She’s got a bit of a journey ahead of her. A figure can be glimpsed behind them, but they don’t acknowledge it.
30 years earlier, Jack, Kate and Hurley arrive to see LaFleur, Sawyer’s persona at the Dharma Initiative. They tell him that they believe that Locke is dead. Sawyer tells them that they are in the 70s. 1977 to be more precise. They have been living with the Dharma Initiative for 3 years. They left 3 years ago. Jack says that Sayid, Lapidus and Sun are missing. Jin wants to ask Radzinsky if he saw the plane.
Juliet goes to see Miles. She wants to find James. Miles is monitoring security. James just arrived back to get some clothes. He tells her that they are back. Jack, Hurley and Kate are back. Juliet knows that there is something between Kate and Sawyer, so she’s worried. She tells him that a sub is coming in this afternoon. That could explain how Jack and his buddies arrived on the Island.
Jin arrives the monitoring station. He wants to check the radar logs. He wants to know if a plane landed. He wants Radzinsky to check with the other stations.
Juliet visits Amy. She wanted the sub manifest. Two of the new recruits dropped out already. They didn’t want to take the sedative. Amy and Horace are going to call the baby Ethan. Creepy Other Ethan.
Sawyer arrives back with some clothes. He tells them that a sub is arriving soon and they are going to pose as new DI recruits. They’ve got no choice, because the next sub won’t arrive for another 6 months.
Radzinsky hasn’t found a plane. They’ve got nothing but an incoming sub. Suddenly, he’s got a ping on his screen. Some hostile tripped a wire. Jin goes out the door running. Jin finds Sayid running away. He doesn’t know where Sun is. When Radzinsky arrives, he takes Sayid into custody.
Sawyer tells Jack that Faraday isn’t here anymore. Jack, Kate and Hurley arrive posing as new recruits. Miles arrives to see LaFleur. He sees the new recruits. He says that Jin found someone. Jin says that the hostile is Sayid.
Jack, Kate and Hurley are at the orientation meeting. Jack meets Pierre Chang, the man who recorded the videos. Jack’s been assigned as a workman. He’s a janitor.
It looks like Juliet left Kate’s name off the list. She’s about to get some trouble. Juliet arrives just in time with the new list.
Sawyer arrives to see Sayid .He says that Sayid saw the model of the Swan. He also saw the plans. Radzinsky wants to kill Sayid. He identifies himself as a hostile and LaFleur takes him to the barracks.
LaFleur arrives at the barracks with the hostile named Sayid. They put him in a prison cell. Jack is told that LaFleur hates being called James. He pays Sawyer a visit and finds Juliet answering the door. She’s got a happy smile on her face. She leaves Sawyer and Jack to talk. He says that for now, Sayid is safe. He tells Jack that back when he was calling the shots, he didn’t think much. He just reacted. It looks like there is a part of James that is enjoying doing this to Jack. We can see Kate pacing outside her house.
Young Ben arrives to see Sayid. He’s got a sandwich for Sayid.
