MagicJack Flying Off The Shelves, Plans Femtocell

070809_rg_MagicJack_01.jpgWhen is the last time you used your landline? In fact, do you still have a real landline, or is it now a VoIP line, or does it come provided from your internet service provider in a handy package? A lot of us aren’t using landlines anymore, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t relevant. In fact, a lot of older people still swear by them. Now, VoIP gadget MagicJack will help seniors and people who just don’t want to deal with the whole VoIP thing make cheap phone calls using their computers.

I have had MagicJack (MJ) for more thn a year and have bought three for friends and influenced other sales as well. Worked like a charm until last week when it just stopped. Interesting, I can still get Voicemail delivered to my computer, but no outgoing or incoming calls. I have had this trouble twice before but it was easily rectified through the usually ver responsive online tech chat., BUT NOT TODAY…I had a most horrible experience that lasted for more than two hours…A tech identified as ‘Summer’ transfered me, after determing the hardware was defective, to a supervisor identified as ‘Rosey’ and there, the worse stories about techs became a living reality of hell How can you be rude to a customer on a chatline? Rosey can tell you. How can you be inflexible? Rosey demonstrates. and, How can you convey negativeness over a chatline? Again, Rosey has all those answers but NOT an answer to my plea to transefer me to a supervisor./ or to talk realtime with a human or to give me a telephone number I could call to speak to somoeone in the executive office..GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Beware from whom you buy a Magic Jack.

We purchased a Magic Jack from a distributor overseas for her to be able to call us and not break the bank. She used the product for about a month when the USB connector broke away from the actual devise. Since May we have been trying to get her a replacement. The distributor said they are responsible and Magic Jack says he is responsibile. So, I am out! I wasted time and money on their shotty product.

When I asked their help line for a contact to their exec office, I was told they do not know the information.

So buyer beware of Magic Jack!
