All of those cities getting tough on graffiti vandals are imbeciles in my book. Instead of arresting street thugs, they are punishing artists like UTAH (Danielle Bremner) who got arrested and will serve 6 months in jail. In March, Yoshimoto Nara was arrested in NYC.

There is a fine line between graffiti and art, yet it’s the only form of art that some street kids know and it’s an important part of our culture. It’s strange because no one would arrest Banksy in the UK. He would probably get arrested in the US.
I’ve always been intrigued by the rune-like quality of graffiti. Some of it is filled with codes and the like, which makes it quite interesting.
