How long will it take Hank to mess things up with Karen? Not very long. Hank’s usual nice disposition doesn’t win him any favorites when he tries to talk his way out of a warning. He just gets arrested.
I enjoyed the whole first series. I enjoyed the second series as well. Even though some critics were against some of the more controversial scenes, I enjoyed them. It paints an interesting picture of the life of Hank Moody and his messed up life. Hank has been a real asshole in the past, but at the end of it all he’s a good man. If you thought that the second season was going to be any less controversial, think again. This time, it’s mouth rape. The third season starts smoothly enough.
Warning: Spoilers ahead and strong language.

Hank is a college teacher. That’s a strong word. He’s just trying to make some money. He’s got trouble at home with Becca. Runkle is still trying to patch things up with his ex, but he comes across the fact that she likes rape fantasies. He tries to do one himself. It doesn’t work out. He’s moved back into his house. Now, Marcie is having animal sex with Rick Springfield.
Kathleen Turner looks really bad as his nympho boss. She keeps trying to get into Runkle’s pants. I don’t know which is more disturbing. Runkle messes things up with Marcie by relenting to his boss’ sexual harassment. Moody fantasizes about Jackie and has sex with his TA Jill, while fooling around with Felicia. All in all, a good day for Hank Moody!
It all comes to a grinding halt, as everyone wants their piece of Hank Moody’s cock. All of the women in his life turn up at his apartment at the same time and find out about what he’s been doing. It’s one of the funniest episodes of Californication yet!

Hank and Karen are skyping. She finds out that Becca is with them. She gives him some skypus interruptus. Jackie arrives with some liquor and some friends.
The next day, Hank wakes up and finds Jackie’s friends naked all over the place. She was celebrating her last dance. Nothing happened between them last night. Jackie says that she will give writing a try.
One of the strippers is comatose. Rick Springfield and Runkle arrive. They decide to take the coma stripper to the ER. Jill arrives before they leave. She’s not wearing anything underneath her coat. Hank has to stash her when Felicia comes knocking. Felicia told Stacey that she screwed him. She’s going to leave her husband for him.
Hank finds Rick Springfield fucking a stripper while she’s giving head to Runkle. The comatose stripper is still on the floor. Jackie is reading Mia’s novel.
Hank finds Stacey in his kitchen. He wants to know why Felicia and other women gravitate towards him, no matter what he does. Hank says that Stacey hasn’t listened to his wife. He cheated on her first. He says that after they were married, the sex dried up. Felicia climbs out from under the table and says that she doesn’t want to go down on a hairy smelly crotch. Stacey says that they should talk about this in therapy. Felicia says that she’s in love with Hank. Stacey asks him if he feels the same way. Hank doesn’t reply and is saved by Becca and Chelsea’s arrival, who were cutting class for some reason. Becca finds a naked Jill in her room. Rick Springfield and the strippers walk out of the room when they set fire to the room.
Hank gets the fire extinguisher and puts out the fire.
Becca doesn’t know what to think. Hank isn’t being a very good role model, especially the way that he treats women. There’s no excuse. Hank says that he was trying to make them realize that they are special, but the lines got blurred and he messed up.
