Chuck Versus Operation Awesome S03E04 (NBC)

Chuck is an American science-fiction television program created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The series is about an “average computer-whiz-next-door” who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend Bryce Larkin, a rogue CIA agent, which happens to embed the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. This is called the intersect.

From the Wikipedia entry on Chuck.

While Chuck has to deal with his new situation, he gets to enjoy the company of Sarah, working for the CIA, and Casey, working for the DOD. They use him as an asset to accomplish their missions, which surprisingly happen around town (?).

Chuck has just started its third season and it’s still entertaining. The mix between an everyday guy and espionage doesn’t get boring, since the character of Chuck actually puts us in these situations as well. I recommend it, though it’s not for everybody.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

The third season started a bit strangely. Chuck has been training for a while, but it isn’t really working out. He’s not able to control the Intersect. Does anyone else think that this is like controlling the Force? Maybe Chuck should get some training from a Jedi Master to calm his nerdy and horny mind.

This was another good episode. Devon gets involved to his peril in the spy games. He prefers being a doctor after discovering how it truly is to be a spy. Shaw is a puzzling character. Annoying, yet interesting. I don’t know what to make of him yet.

Devon has been abducted. Ring thinks that he is a CIA spy.

Chuck is freaking out. Morgan gets promoted to assistant manager. Devon arrives at the BuyMore. He says that the Ring thinks that he is a spy. He has to pretend that he’s the spy. He met a Ring spy named Sydney.

Chuck flashed when he was worried about Devon. He kicked Lester. Lester liked the pain and started a Fight Club.

Sydney leaves a package for him. He opens it with the guys and puts on the included earpiece. She wants to meet. The earpiece is also an explosive. They have to get through security to the penthouse. They break into a CIA facility.

Casey and Sarah are locked down. Sydney arrives. The General has received new mission parameters. It’s a man. He says that it’s part of the plan. It’s a trap for Sydney. He wants Chuck to kill him. Or fake kill him. The man shoots himself because Chuck can’t do it. The gun has to be in Devon’s hands. He comes running. Sydney arrives. She lets the earpiece off. She says that he needs to lose the body. He’s been recruited into the Ring.

The pill that he took was a drug. Devon manages to save the dude. The man’s name is Shaw. He’s the man who was talking with the General. He has been working for 5 years on taking down on the Ring. The General puts him in charge for the moment.

Against orders, Chuck takes the Ring phone. He takes it apart. He thought about something. Chuck takes Devon’s place by calling Sydney. He lures her to the BuyMore. Chuck calls Sarah. Shaw hangs up on him. He pulls guns on Casey and Sarah to stop them from helping Chuck. After a few minutes, they go after him anyway. Chuck manages to take out two guys without flashing. Sarah arrives in time to take out Sydney.

Chuck has a gun on Sydney. He can’t shoot her. Shaw has to do so. The Ring phone is rendered inoperable.

Chuck tells Devon that his situation has been dealt with. They have a little dinner at their place with Ellie, Devon, Sarah, and Casey. Shaw is watching them. Shaw takes out his marriage ring.
