Chuck Versus the Role Models S03E15 (NBC)

Chuck is an American science-fiction television program created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The series is about an “average computer-whiz-next-door” who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend Bryce Larkin, a rogue CIA agent, which happens to embed the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. This is called the intersect.

From the Wikipedia entry on Chuck.

While Chuck has to deal with his new situation, he gets to enjoy the company of Sarah, working for the CIA, and Casey, working for the DOD. They use him as an asset to accomplish their missions, which surprisingly happen around town (?).

Chuck has just started its third season and it’s still entertaining. The mix between an everyday guy and espionage doesn’t get boring, since the character of Chuck actually puts us in these situations as well. I recommend it, though it’s not for everybody.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

The third season started a bit strangely. Chuck has been training for a while, but it isn’t really working out. He’s not able to control the Intersect. Does anyone else think that this is like controlling the Force? Maybe Chuck should get some training from a Jedi Master to calm his nerdy and horny mind.

This was another good episode and we finally learn who killed Shaw’s wife. It’s not who you expected and it will make things interesting in the next few episodes.

This episode starts like a show from the 80s. Morgan is dreaming, naturally. He goes to the fridge and finds Sarah there in lingerie. Chuck wants to ask her to move in, but she doesn’t see a reason for changing their winning formula. Meanwhile, the Awesomes are in Congo. Ellie is having trouble in Congo. Devon has malaria. The dude at the camp is a Ring operative. He poisoned Awesome.

Beckman tells Chuck and Sarah that they will be observing the Turners, a high-flying CIA team. Meanwhile, Casey has to train Morgan ready for the field. Chuck and Sarah have to observe the Turners to learn how to be a great CIA power couple. They have been married for 30 years.

The mission is to retrieve some decryption device. Chuck/Sara are supposed to shadow them. At the party, Mr. Turner is flirting with a girl who could be his daughter. Meanwhile, Mrs. Turner is drinking a bit. They both fall to the floor. Chuck/Sarah have to do the mission for them. They come across a tiger in the master suite. The chi is on the tiger’s collar. Chuck flashes on it.

Morgan isn’t doing too well in training. Casey is doing all of the training at the BuyMore.

Chuck gets the collar from the tiger, but on their way out, the Turners jack them. They were just pretending to be inept. Beckman wants them to investigate and wants Casey to continue with his training.

Sarah thinks that the Turners are the Grand Ambassador. Mr. Turner kept going on about the cherries in the Manhattans at that hotel. They get them easily enough. Back at the flat, Otto comes calling with his large pussycat.

They find the Turners gone, but they come back. Chuck and Sarah quickly disarm Otto. Sasha, the tiger is loose outside. Morgan and Casey arrive. Morgan decides to play hero and locks it in his apartment. He dashes up the stairs.

Sarah covers for the Turners. The Turners announce to Beckman that they are retiring. Sarah decides to move in with Chuck.
