How long will it take Hank to mess things up with Karen? Not very long. Hank’s usual nice disposition doesn’t win him any favorites when he tries to talk his way out of a warning. He just gets arrested.
I enjoyed the whole first series. I enjoyed the second series as well. Even though some critics were against some of the more controversial scenes, I enjoyed them. It paints an interesting picture of the life of Hank Moody and his messed up life. Hank has been a real asshole in the past, but at the end of it all he’s a good man. If you thought that the second season was going to be any less controversial, think again. This time, it’s mouth rape. The third season starts smoothly enough.

The trial starts and it’s not happy times for Hank. I wonder if Hank will go to jail.

Hank is getting ready for his trial. He looks like Mulder. There is a ‘Free Hank’ demonstration in front of the courthouse. He meets Bill at the courthouse. The trial begins. Runkle is called to the witness box.
We see an episode in the past where Runkle and Moody went to a screening of the movie based on his book. That’s when Hank decided to screw with the director’s wife. This is what Runkle testifies to in court. That isn’t good news.

Then, Runkle testifies that Hank took a shit on Bill’s car when Karen moved in with him. Abby’s cross-examination didn’t really work well. Then, it’s Karen’s turn. Abby paints her as a crazy lady.
-That’s a water gun.
-Filled with hot sauce motherfucker, bonsai!
Bill and Hank
It’s Bill’s turn. He says that Hank met Mia before the bookstore. Mia says that Hank was totally drunk out of his mind. She says that the night that she met Hank again, it was after Karen rubbed her the wrong way.
Abby tells him that the seed of doubt has been planted in the jury. That’s all it takes. The day ends with Karen telling him to go screw himself.
