Following the framework of previously established dramadies on Showtime, Nurse Jackie aims to show the life of a RN working at a busy hospital who pops pills and leads a double life.

Nurse Jackie has already created some controversy because of its content. The show is for mature audiences and tells a story about a hard working nurse, dedicated to her job, but with a habit.

This show is a lot better than Hawthorne. I wasn’t immediately hooked, but the situations that Jackie gets herself into are amusing. She’s cheating on her devoted husband with her pharmacist, who supplies her with pills. She deals out her own kind of justice in order to make things right in her own eyes.

Nurse Jackie is entertaining and between all of the new medical dramas, Hawthorne, Mercy, etc., it’s definitely the best.

Warning: spoilers ahead.

Grace is a saint in a pageant.

Jackie goes to see Bill again for some pills. He’s got no pills anymore. He tells her to come by his place later. Some violent druggie is brought in. He’s in restraints.

Coop is still depressed about his moms getting a divorce. Both of his moms called Gloria and said that they were worried about him. Gloria tells him to clean his office. It’s filled with the stuff from his childhood that his moms made him clean out.

Two drunk teenagers turn up. One of them hit her head and needs stitches.

Zoey takes Jackie and Eleanor out for lunch at an Indian place. Zoey tries to interview them for her blog.

PCP knocks Eleanor to the floor. She’s troubled. Kelly’s there to help. Jackie doesn’t like Kelly and she’s always on his case.

On her way home, she stops by Bill’s place. He gets run over by a truck. Jackie runs off. She arrives just in time to see part of Grace’s litany.
