It took some time, but I’m glad that we managed to see Terra Nova. The pilot had been delayed for a while, ever since last May. I didn’t expect much, since I don’t really keep apprised of the latest TV news, but I was happily surprised with the pilot. The setting is quite interesting. While the future 2149 setting isn’t really that important, it set the mood nicely. It was a sort of Big Brother-like future, where people weren’t allowed to have many children and the Earth was becoming non-sustainable for human life. The time fracture, opening 85 million years into the past, allows different pilgrimages to settle in healthy biosphere, but populated by dinosaurs. I like the fact that this isn’t the same timeline as before. They entered another worldine, which is the only way that this could make sense.

Josh betrays Terra Nova for his girlfriend and Maddy discovers that someone is not who he says he was. Josh quickly spills the beans and Taylor has got his first Sixer collaborator.

Taylor and Jim are out fishing. They find the remains of a camp near where they are. Taylor decides to stick behind to check out who was camping here. It’s the killer.
Taylor finds him a bit later. He’s got a festering wound that needs treatment. Taylor needs to fight off an ancestral komodo. He wants him to travel to the Sixers and spy on them for Terra Nova.
Some geologist named Horton is back at Terra Nova. He’s a minor celebrity. He’s been OTG for 6 months. Maddy is able to secure an internship with him. Horton does it because he likes her mother. Maddy is a die-hard Horton fan, and slowly discovers that Horton isn’t Horton.
He continues to arouse Maddy’s suspicions. He then proceeds to lose the letter he wrote her years back. It turns out that he burned it. He’s also faking a limp. Maddy thinks that someone stole Horton’s identity to make the pilgrimage. She has the DNA of the real Horton on an envelope. She compares it to the fake Horton. When Malcolm discovers that Maddy is running a DNA comparison on Horton, he is quite glad to help out. The DNA matches, so she’s got no proof. THe real Horton overhears them plotting.
Later, she thinks that the fake Horton is the real Horton’s identity. She uses the Eye to figure out what happened. Fake Horton catches her. Fake Horton abducts Zoe. It was just to lure Maddy out. He plans on killing her. Zoe is sent back but Maddy gives her a message.
Jim arrives just in time to save Maddy from Fake Horton. Zoe used a panic word.
Josh is told by Boylan that Mira wants some medicine. That’s the favor that she wants Josh to do for her. Skye is against it. Josh asks Boylan proof that Kara is on the 11th pilgrimage.
Josh goes to see Mira. He has a holo call with Kara. It’s real time, so it must be true that Mira has got a way to talk to the future. Josh duplicate his mom’s access card, and then gets the med. The card didn’t work, so he had to use the sonic gun. He made a mess of it.
When Jim comes back, Wash tells him that there was a break in. All of the Azimath was stolen. Boylan finds a patsy to take the fall. It doesn’t take the patsy long to spill the beans.
Josh comes clean to his parents. He tells on Boylan and Jim is happy to question him again. Boylan says that Mira can talk to the future. He tells Taylor, Taylor thinks it’s his son Lucas.
