The Walking Dead tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse; it follows a small group of survivors traveling across the desolate USA in search of a new home away from the shuffling hordes of the undead. The group is led by Rick Grimes, who was a police officer in the old world. As their situation grows more and more grim, the group’s desperation to survive pushes them to the brink of humanity. At every turn they are faced with unspeakable horrors, both from those who are dead, and from the scattered remains of a struggling human populace.
I don’t know what it is with the series on AMC, but they definitely have interesting ideas. This show is based upon a comic books, and I enjoyed watching the show. It reminds me of a lot of zombie movies, so it’s not revolutionary, but I did have fun.
Warning: spoilers ahead
I started watching this again on the weekend. I’m not that impressed, ever since they have been caught at the farm. It’s actually gotten somewhat boring.

This is right after the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. Lori was with Shane. They check what is happening ahead. They see some military helicopters going to the refugee center.
There are explosions all over a city. They are dropping napalm in the streets.
Lori wakes up at the farm. Rick is organizing the search for Sophia. One of the Hershel clan helps out.
I don’t like where this is going. It’s pretty boring. They’ve been at the farm house for a few episodes and Sophia has been missing for a few episodes. I wish they’d just move on. This is why the reviews haven’t been all that good.
Glenn talks with his hottie Maggie. She kind of rebuffs him. His come on line was pretty bad.
Shane tells Rick that they should abandon the search. They both know that Sophia is dead. I agree with Shane. They should have moved on a long time ago.
Daryl takes a horse to a ridge to see if he can spot Sophia. He finds a doll in a creek. His horse throws him off after being scared by a snake. He ends up in the creek with a bolt through his midriff. It’s just a flesh wound. He fell down a sharp overhang. He gets up for a bit and then falls back down.
He hallucinates Merle and then sees a walker chewing on his foot. He kills it. Then he has to pull the bolt out of him to kill the next one. It was a close call.
Rick has words with Hershel. He wasn’t aware that Daryl took a horse or that he took out Jimmy.
Daryl comes stumbling back to the farm and gets promptly shot by an over-enthusiastic Andrea. The dumb girl only grazed his head, so he’s still alive, but he kind of did look like a walker. He brought back Sophia’s doll.
Glenn leaves Maggie a message asking her if she wants to hook up in the barn. She runs to him when she reads this because the barn has a little surprise for Glenn. It’s filled with walkers.
