4.83 KM Speed Walk (1.77 KM) + Short Run (3.06KM)

I almost left the door a lot earlier, but I finished working at around 9PM and was slightly hungry, so I had a bit to eat. I hadn’t eaten since lunch, but I kept it light enough. Still, next time it would probably be best to run first and then eat. Also I have found that running after speed walking the dog is optimal, as I just have to drop the dog off, peel off a layer and grab a water bottle then head back out again.

I almost kept a somewhat water-repelling layer on, but it was mild so I knew that I would heat up during the run. It seemed to take longer, but in total, it was shorter than the day before. My pace for the run was 7:49 min/km, so that is somewhat better than yesterday’s run. Max heart rate was 179 bpm and my average was 153 bpm. It took 23:55 to run 3:06km. For the next couple of weeks, I’m not expecting much, but I’m expecting to drop some weight since I went from basically not much cardio to running every day.

Food-wise, I was good today. I kept away from the convenience store foods, ate a croque-monsieur and chicken club sandwich from Starbucks. That was my main meal of the day. I had some soup in the evening with some bread. It doesn’t seem like much, but I’m sated. My goal is my optimal weight that I had attained in ’09 of 76 kg. It was easier to stay fit in Canada, but for now I’m in Taiwan and I need to adapt.
