iDesk: A Microsoft Surface-Like Alternative for Macs

Anyone who’s seen or who knows about Microsoft Surface understands that the idea of a giant touchscreen tabletop is nothing new. Adam Benton’s iDesk concept is simply the Apple-lover’s version of the same expensive tech that’s been available for Windows for some time. While I do think that Surface is extremely cool, the price of these large touchscreens is still out of reach for mere mortals (~$8,400 USD).

  1. Add to it the price of physio therapy from all that looking down. The issue called “text neck” might have to be renamed “Apple neck.” The hunching over from sending texts and looking down at lap top on the lap is a bit of an issue and I’m wondering what a desk like this would do to increase that. Other than that…fantastically cool.

    1. I haven’t personally used a MS Surface device, but I can guess that using it for long hours would get problematic, because of the angle.
