This was one of the events that I had bought tickets to ages ago. I knew that it would be fun and since the headliners weren’t going to be playing house, it would be different. There is a lot of house playing in Taipei. When I arrived at around 11:30PM, Ness was already playing in the main room. It was more experimental. Nobu was slated to start at around 1AM.
I met up with some friends and we had a good time. Nobu’s set was also experimental, so I found it a bit hard to dance to, but it was good to listen to anyway. The place was nicely packed, there weren’t too many people. The best set of the night belonged to Ness, and he started at around 3:30AM. It was hard techno and relentless, which I appreciated. Many DJs that I’ve heard tend to include lots of ups and downs. I can understand that, but I prefer something more continuous. The lasers in the main room were hypnotic. There were two machines and they definitely lit up the place.
Overall, I’m looking forward to the next Organik events.
