Well, a couple of girls inspired me to go out to run tonight. It’s been a while since my last run, and I needed to start up again. At least I didn’t gain much weight since I had stopped. A friend had suggested an alternate route to my usual run, so I took that. It was nice and quiet, as well as windy. The run was fine, but I was slow. I ran 4km in 32:59. I needed more than one break but at least I got out there and started to run again. I weighed in at 85kg, looking for 78kg in a couple of weeks.
The hardest part is to stay motivated and continue to run, even though it will hurt and I might not have the time. It’s important to make the time for it, and since I’m feeling pretty good, I hope to get back to where I was a couple of years ago.
I could have run faster, but first and foremost, I want to run without taking any breaks. Then I’ll start to speed up again. I’m looking to for a pace of 5min/km or thereabouts, which is what I used to run at. BPM peaked at 177 and my average was 160 because of the breaks I took.
