    Do you know what species or type of bat this is depicted in the photograph?

        Ah right. I’m only saying as the picture resembles a Megachiroptera (Megabat) opposed to a Microchiroptera (smaller echolocating species). Megabats don’t hold the adaptation required to echolocate and so at first thought the picture may be misleading.

        I may be wrong however, my bat ID skills aren’t up scratch!

    That’s possible. The images were found through Google searches, and could have been mislabeled.

    Hi, yes you were right. I checked it out and another reader pointed it out as well on the SciTechDaily site and we changed the images. The study didn’t involve Megachiroptera, only Microchiroptera of different sizes.
