Like most people, we have an emergency kit packed up in our car, including a small bag with some essentials, just in case something happened. However, we definitely didn’t have anything like these stylish and ingenious emergency tools that were created by Eton for the American Red Cross. The bold red and white colors, coupled with the fact that most of these can be hand-powered, make them ideal in emergency situations.

Personally, I don’t eat much fast food. In fact, I’ve had it once in the last three months and didn’t enjoy it much. I’m really surprised that KFC’s Double Down, double chicken breast sandwich has only got 540 cal.
Michael Crichton Dies

I can’t believe this. Michael Crichton is dead. I’ve been reading his books all of my adult life, and also in my teens. I’ve read them a lot of times.
I think I started my Micheal Crichton odyssey with Congo. My mother is an author. She reads tons of books and buys them in bulk. When she likes one, she buys most of this books. That’s what happened with Michael Crichton. But just like Jonathan Kellerman, I owned Crichton. I took the books as mine and read them countless of times.
Congo, The Andromeda Strain, Sphere, Jurassic Park, Rising Sun, Disclosure, Airframe, Timeline, Prey, and State of Fear. The author died of cancer at the age of 66 last night.

Women’s Murder Club is a police procedural drama on ABC based on the James Patterson books. It features a series of women who work together to solve cases. Lindsay Boxer is a Detective Inspector in the San Fransisco PD. Jill Bernhardt is the ADA. Claire Washburn is the medical examiner. Cindy Thomas is a reporter that works with them on police cases.
I haven’t read the James Patterson books, but the title is pretty lame. I mean, come on. Women’s murder club? WTF! Basically the main characters are all in one aspect of law enforcement, from the police, to the coroner to the DA’s office. A new member of the club is part of the media.
When I think of the title of this show, I think about a bunch of women drinking tea and investigating a murder. None of them would be involved in law enforcement, they’d just be interested in murders and solving them, kind of like a babysitter club. OK, maybe not a babysitter club, but you get the idea.
