Survivor China S15E04 (CBS)

Jean-Robert believes that his strategy is working out pretty well. He thinks that Courtney still has a target painted on her back. Zhang Hu discovers that most of their rice has gone bad. Dave continues to nag his tribe.

Sherea and Dave get into a heated argument over little things at camp. Sherea says that she isn’t going to let Dave run over him. Dave talks with Frosti. Frosti thinks that Dave’s situation is precocious. In private, Frosti calls him Crazy Dave. The two tribes will go to tribal council.

Survivor China S15E03 (CBS)

An interesting cloudscape from our patio in Banqiao, Taipei County.

The girls in Fei Long are disgusted by Jean-Robert’s attempts to snuggle with them. Leslie says that if they ever have to go to tribal council, they will know who to vote for. I don’t really know what kind of a poker player Jean-Robert is, but he isn’t winning any personality contests. All the girls kind of despise him and want him gone. This is only a few days into the show. His whole stratagem is ridiculous. At least he’s not doing so badly in the competitions, which is saving his ass right now.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Field Trip To Ikea

I really don’t know what the school owners think when they decide to book a field trip to Ikea. It’s really strange. I think it’s because it’s free, nearby and Western. I also think it’s a public relations thing, to pick up new students. I saw the principal talking to a few prospective parents.

All photos taken with a Sony Ericsson K810i 3.2 MP camera phone on the 2nd of October 2007 in Sinjhuang, Taipei County.

Lantern Festival 2007 CKS Memorial Hall In Taipei Taiwan

These pictures were taken on the 11th of March 2007 at the last day of the lantern festival. I took a few minutes to capture a few shots of this event at CKS Memorial hall. I didn’t bring my tripod and it started drizzling, so I had to leave. At the same time, the biggest lanterns were switched off.

The Sky Is On Fire In Banqiao

Here is a little series that I took last night, at sunset. The sky was so beautiful, it’s too bad that I was stuck on my patio. Otherwise, I would have run out with the dog and my camera in tow to take some more gorgeous shots.

Missing Photoposts

One of the missing photos from Phuket at Promthep Cape, one of the best views of Phuket.

I’ve just gone through part of my 9991 photos in my Zooomr account and realized that there are a lot of photos that I haven’t posted from this year, starting out with most of the photos taken in Thailand and Hong Kong in February and March 2007. I remember that Zooomr was down at that time and that photos weren’t uploading. I seem to remember that it took a few months for the situation to work itself out.

New Beginnings

I love the blues, but the bottom needs to be lightened with Photoshop. Taken in Danshui.

I’ve started working at a new buxiban in the afternoons and early evenings. It’s pretty convenient, since it’s about 5 minutes away and the classes are no stress.

In fact, in the beginning I didn’t know how much I would enjoy it, so I didn’t really commit to anything and delayed the paperwork until I was sure that everything was all right.

Survivor China S15E02 (CBS)

Incredible sunlight through the clouds in Danshui (淡水鎮), Taipei County.
I’m glad to see that CBS chose some good survivors this time around. It’s so easy to make bad choices in these types of shows. They decided to put together a lot of conflicting personalities. It’s great fun to watch.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Survivor China S15E01 (CBS)

Skewed view of the Bank of China building.

The next season of survivor just started. The funny thing is that it’s taking place in China, in a remote region. I’m currently residing on the other side of the world, in Taiwan, known as the Republic of China, which China considers a wayward province.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.
