Actually, I’m kind of surprised that there aren’t more deaths caused by compulsive gaming. Just like anything else, you can become completely addicted to games if you’re not careful. That’s something that potentially led to the death of a Chinese man, who dropped dead during a marathon gaming session.

According to a new report, rock and pop stars die young. Many of them die from drug overdoses, AIDS or drunk-driving accidents. The study found that the average lifespan of American musical stars in pop, rock and rap genre is only 45. The average European stars die on average at age 39.

Kevin Kelly is back with regular posts over at The Technium. His latest examines heat death, which is what happens when the universe reaches its final thermodynamic state, with maximum entropy, ie no free thermodynamic energy to sustain motion or life.
This is what a few tech blogs are reporting. Personally, I’ve never cared much about them. I’d rather lug a 13-inch laptop around than a netbook.
It’s strange reading a dead person’s blog. It’s kind of creepy. There is a mystery surrounding the whole affair, which begs further investigation.
I’ve been reading Theresa Duncan’s blog The Wit of the Staircase and have been entranced by her tragic story. Actually I knew the work of her partner Jeremy Blake. Theresa Duncan apparently committed suicide on the 10th of July 2007. Her partner Jeremy Blake did the same a week later.
