Like many people, we’ve got a MacBook, but this is a recent update. We’ve always had PC computers. At one point, there were probably around 6-8 old PCs in various states of assembly in our home office, which got a bit cluttered. That being said, there are many things that you can do with old PCs, and making yours into a data server makes sense since it’s something that desktops do well.
I’m always annoyed at the low resolution I have on my integrated webcam, so it makes sense to get something with a more pixels. HP’s HD 5210 will allow you to Skype in HD, which can be good or bad, depending on how you’re looking that day. Actually, it’s probably all good for most of us.

I haven’t seen the use for a dedicated camcorder in a while, but this latest HD Handycam from Sony actually sports a built-in 60-inch projector into the back of its LCD, making it interesting for people wanting to share what they record immediately.

While I admire LaCie’s efforts in designing good-looking hard drives, their new mobile Porsche drives look even better than most. The latest hard drives include the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile P’9220 and Desktop P’9230 Hard Drives.
