Recently, we started to leave our MacBook Pro at home more and more in favor of using the iPad 2 to consult ebooks. iBooks is great for viewing Epub files, but when it comes to PDF files, we’ve found it somewhat lacking in polish. That’s why we found this handy workaround that will allow you to view PDF files how they were supposed to be viewed.

Great article over at the New Yorker over the impact of the iPad and the Kindle in the publishing world. Although I have thousands of ebooks, I prefer having real books. I will never pay $10 for an ebook, but I will gladly pay $10 for a paperback, or even $20-30 for a hardcover 1st edition. {via kottke}
iPad: The Maxipad Of Tablets

Apple had their must touted event yesterday which launched their unfortunately named tablet onto the masses. I can appreciate good design and great products, though I’m not an Apple fan-boy.
Let’s get one thing straight. You won’t be using your iPad to game. You’ll be trying to pass the time while you’re on public transport or something like that and you’ll be playing some games, though no Flash games, which makes this a bit annoying.
No flash=no Hulu
That’s a pretty bad equality to start out with.
