Replace the three little dots with my name. He’s a really good kid, but he sometimes spaces out and doesn’t pay attention. He’s a bit of a clown and likes to make other kids laugh, which doesn’t sit well with his Taiwanese teacher.

What is Bad Love?
Bad Love is the title of a novel by Jonathan Kellerman, a child psychologist. It’s in the Alex Delaware series of mystery novels. It was published in 1994.

I’ve been thinking about two books this week and I thought I would share these. The first novel is Lord of the Flies by William Golding. I’ve been thinking about reading it again. It’s most appropriate considering the strange forms of abuse that I have been seeing, both on television in Kid Nation and in real life in my classrooms.
That is Tim. He is five years old.
Today I saw Tim again. It’s almost been a week since I last saw him because of Double 10 Day (雙十節) in Taiwan. They say that Double 10 Day is the birthday of their country. A few really minor countries have recognized Taiwan a country. Taiwan has not been part of the UN since 1971.
She screamed so loud that I thought the teacher was torturing her.

This week my Taiwanese Homeroom teacher really made me cringe. I didn’t know what to do. To tell you the truth, in some sick way I hope that she just takes it too far. At that time, the administration will have to intervene and countless kids will be helped.

I’d like to tell you a story about a little boy named Tim. He is 5 years old and is in a preschool which offers English classes in the mornings.
Tim is a cute little boy. He is smart when he pays attention, caring and attentive. He is a bit of a joker as well. He enjoys having fun. Tim isn’t slow or anything like that, he’s just in his own little world. He is a dreamer. He spends most of his time tracing letters or symbols in the air. The foreign teachers think that he will write nicely in a while because of all the practice he gets. He has a very hard time focusing in class. Maybe he has ADD, maybe he’s just a little kid who needs more playtime, who knows?
I really don’t know what the school owners think when they decide to book a field trip to Ikea. It’s really strange. I think it’s because it’s free, nearby and Western. I also think it’s a public relations thing, to pick up new students. I saw the principal talking to a few prospective parents.
